A must-have for dealing with sites that have needlessly complicated login sequences. Easy to use. I think its capabilities far exceed what I've asked of it. Extremely useful add-on.

Indispensable Extension. Love it. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

iMacros is an indispensable tool for everybody that owns a web-based business or works as web developer. You'll be amazed at how much time you save when iMacros is on the job.

Must-have add-on! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Everybody that spends more than a hour a day on the web or has more than three different website logins (who doesn't?) must have this add-on. Beginners can use the visual macro creation. Programmers can create super-powerful macros with the built-in Javascript scripting.

Asian internet users will appreciate the full Unicode support of this add-on. iMacros supports the automation of websites with all languages, including Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

Very powerful tool, but has a slightly tough learning curve (requires some programming (JavaScript, etc) knowledge and/or the ability to research and read - a lot (and ask questions)); but this does not outweigh the benefits of this extension - there are just too many uses and the tutorials and example scripts make for a good start to learn the ins and outs. Not "essential" but worth the time to learn and to use if you need it.

Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I give this 3 stars since it has a great deal of potential but still errors out frequently. Its great when developers make useful plugins such as this but it needs a little more debugging. Without changing the *.iim file it will sometimes work and other times error out and not due to the timeout threshold. The heart breaker is this plugin seems to have problems with switches/routers/servers with a web based GUI.

This is a great idea but needs a bit more work.

Brilliant !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Yes! what the subject says. Very helpful.\r\nIt has a learning curve but that\'s is not an obstacle for those who wants to use it and save a loooot\'ev time as a result. Many things yet to be discovered.\r\nThanks to developer(s).\r\none Q though (simple). When it asks for password (not saved as global) and I want to exit without entering for some reason it would be nice to have cancel button and exit silently rather than generate an Error. It does not cause any problem but ... not very elegant \r\nThanks again. Keep a good work

This is powerful. It has saved me hours, if not days, when doing routine updates and routine tasks. This plugin is among my favorite plugins.

Top Add-On Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Along with Firebug this is one of the TOP add-ons for Web Developers.

But iMacros is not only for geeks! We created a whole set of macros that help everyone in the office.

Looks Very Promising Rated 1 out of 5 stars

iMacros looks to be just what I want.

BUT will I just be a beta tester and the FREE version will fade away or be dumbed down in a so called "upgrade" ?

I note paid versions of iMacros range in price from $499 to $49.95.

Wayback, Mail Washer was free and still states on the webpage "Free to use and won't ever expire" which is true. BUT, version 2.0.14beta allowed multiple email addresses, the next so called "upgrade" overwrote that version with one that only permitted one email address.

What is the future for iMacros ?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (6.0.3.4).

We will never remove or cripple any of the features.

>iMacros looks to be just what I want.
Thanks :-)

>BUT will I just be a beta tester and the FREE version will fade away

I understand your concerns but iMacros for Firefox is and will be absolutely free.

Of course, the commercial iMacros versions pay our rent. So we hope you'll enjoy iMacros so much that you'll consider upgrading to the business editions that include tech support with guaranteed response times and advanced features such as Flash, Silverlight and Java applet automation, image recognition, and a scripting interface object that lets you control Firefox and IE from any Windows programming or scripting language: http://www.iopus.com/imacros/compare/all/

But if the iMacros for Firefox features are just what you need, then I can assure you that iMacros for Firefox remains free and that we do NOT remove or cripple any of the features. If you look at the iMacros version history you will see that we keep adding new features to iMacros for Firefox, and not removing any! Please judge us from our track record, and not by comparison with another company.

Does what it claims Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love macros. As the sf writer Larry Niven said, "technology doesn't save time, it invests it." Macros have helped me do that since the first computer I had. This is another fine example. Thank you for your work.

I haven't used or PAID FOR this Robo-other thing. Those that have on these reviews seem to want more for free from this extension or perhaps methinks they protest too much.

Love it!!! It is a great time saver once it is set up and the first 3-5 macros are recorded.

This addon is in a league of it's own Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This addon is in a league of it's own, honestly.

The visual recording makes it easy to use and the built-in JavaScript language makes it very powerful for advanced users.

Since installing it, I haven't looked back. It's a good piece of software and I can't live without it.

Good but could do with a few improvements Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is a really goo add on and would be a must have if the dam sidebar wouldn't appear when ever using a macro

Thanks for the feedback

Good news: The "close sidebar after doing a macro" feature is already in our todo list for the next update:

Not as good as roboform, but this does macros. So while you might think that it's a fancy bookmarker, it's smarter and provides more utility.

So far the simple macros seem fine, but I'll have to try more complex ones and check back.

Not as good as Roboform Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I would say this has potential and I look forward to seeing it develop. As long as it remains free and fully functional, I will be interested in it. For now though I am fully dedicated to Roboform. Yes, it did cost me $25, but it was well worth it.

However, a free 'copycat' would be A-OK by me. lol
