Don't think it works with Mac Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Must need to have IE installed somewhere, 'cause it didn't work on my OS X machine. Didn't want to ding the rating, since I really can't comment on the effectiveness, therefore the "3".

Works fine, Note for x64 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

If you're running 64 bit windows vista, modify the location for IE to be ...\Program Files (x86)\... or else pages running flash won't display right since the 64bit version in the regular program files folder is not flash-happy.

A very handy tool, especially with FF which won't handle activex whereas IE will.

Very goos but one pet peeve Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Works well as I prefer having IE actually open for true MS bastardized rendering.\r\n\r\nThe one thing however, that I find irksome, is that if I have only one tab open and then open a link which is on the \"Always-in-IE Sites\" list in options, it completely closes Firefox when it launches IE. I would REALLY like to be able to disable this behavior something like unchecking the \"automatically close tabs....\" checkbox that already exists in option but would apply also to sites that are in your \"Always-in IE\" list as well.

Loved this lite thing until it no longer worked in 2.x Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Went to add to yet another instance of Firefox that I use. It wouldn't work saying it would only work in version 3.x (is that out of beta??).
Anyway, this tool is fast and lightweight and does exactly what I want: start a separate instance of IE with the URL loaded. People who rank this lower simply don't want this functionality and should look elsewhere. I find that other IE-inside-a-Firefox-tab add-ons are flakey; often causing the site or Firefox to freeze.
Leaving this as a ten assuming It'll eventually support the Firefox version that I USE.

Absolutely stunning Rated 5 out of 5 stars

concerning the comments brought up about it opening a new window and not in a new tab within firefox. I am a web developer that unfortunately has to program for IE6. the IE view, in a tab about 80% of the time doesnt render exactly how IE renders pages. so the original is useless for me. ie view lite answers this by just opening, in 3 seconds mind you, an ie window that i can see the 100% accurate results of my code.
A+

Good + Lite Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Have been FF user from 0.x
Is my primary browser.
There are MS designed proprietary or W3C non-html compliant sites that need IE.

This plug-in works perfect for me.
open IE is just fine.
Thanks

IE View Lite doesn't contain the same feautres offered by IE View Rated 4 out of 5 stars

"...All the same UI and features are there."

[If an admin reads this message, please remove my previous review. This is the updated one]

IE View Lite is very lite. However the above statement is false. Not all features offered in IE View (the original version created by Paul Roub) are available in IE View Lite. Two features are missing:
- options to check a site as "Always view this page in IE" under Tools menu
- Disable "alway view this page" feature (so you may temporary switch it off and view with Firefox without removing the URL)

But it supports using words or only part of URL in the "Always View in IE" list (so all URL which contain the words or the part will be launched in IE). IE View can't.

I'm using:
- IE View Lite 1.3.1 &
- IE View 1.3.3

perfection Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This made firefox my only browser I'll ever use. To this day, there are a couple of sites I visit almost daily that are crucial to my job, and firefox is not fully compatible and I get 404 error messages. This plugin fixed that problem. Thanks!!!

I don't get it Not yet rated

Opening up a new window isn't helpful, I could do that without an extension.

Now the IE Tab extension https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 is helpful, it stays within the browser.

Opening up a separate MSIE browser is a waste of time

shuts down firefox Rated 4 out of 5 stars

thanks for this great add on\r\n\r\nwhen viewing in IE with the close tab option, if the firefox session has only one tab, it is shut down. i think the right functionality should be to just close the tab but not shut down firefox.\r\n\r\nthanks\r\neyal.

Navigator 9 Compatible! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Unlike IE View (std.), IE View Lite will install on Netscape Navigator 9 (i.e. the "new one").

For those of you who prefer the real Application to the IE Tab option, this is your answer for Navigator 9!

Rock n roll, mr/ms developer person sir / ma'am!
