Completely unnecessary. Use the original IEView instead (https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/35). This is exactly the same but with all the localization stripped out to save a couple KB!

If you ended up here because of the referral on the 'problematic extensions' page due to the memory leak issue in ie tabs, then you can also try the new coral ie tab

Useless for my purpose. All it does is open the current website in internet explorer (if you managed to find out that you first have to add the addon button to the toolbar). It does not re-render the current web page with internet explorer's engine in a Firefox tab like 'ie tabs' does.

Ie tabs might have a memory leaks, but it's silly to advice this as a replacement because it does something completely different.

Also, why spend time on creating something that already exists (IE View by Paul Roub)? If you do that, then at least add functionality to make it better for the user in stead of making it look exactly the same with the same features (and not just reducing the file size to even less then 47kb).

thelinuxbeast, not sure what happened to you, but IE View Lite 1.3.5 works fine here with FF 3.5 with IE8 on Win 7 x64.

This is a great add-on,but I have 1 trivial question, could you make a new toolbar icon for it? The blue Internet Explorer "E" would be a lot better than that lame little window icon

Not working with Mac OSX Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It doesn't work with Mac OSX, it just opens Safari but not IE, either with Crossover nor with IES4Mac...at the moment I've found that the only way to use IE with Mac is getting Parallels or Fusion, didn't I?

This is just an overrated program launcher. Why would I need an extension to launch IE. IE Tab is much better even with its memory leak. I'm switching back now.

Switching back to ie tab, memory leaks and all Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I wish that if I would be able to leave two things open in separate windows open in ie. Instead if you open one thing, you had better be all finished with it, or you will not be able to open another.

Also, if I wanted to open ie, I would have opened ie and not firefox.

After recent most recent update, using FF 3.5, I can no longer open up more than one instance of IE using this addon.
