  • Thank you!!!
  • Excellent extension, thank you so much!
  • THIS IS BASIC FUNCTIONALITY, WHY ARE YOU BOTHERING TO READ REVIEWS? This functionality should already be installed and enabled-by-default IN EVERY BROWSER. Almost every fork of Firefox in the Play Store comes with it pre-installed, usually with Ghostery too, and DEFINITELY UBlock Origin (or AdBlock+). When people see how much creepy crap is on the average web site, they tend to quickly get serious about privacy and security - it's like finding out that people have been walking around your house, reading your mail, listening to every word, every noise, and even seeing your thoughts Anti-virus suites are inadequate for this. GET THIS; GET SERIOUS ABOUT PRIVACY AND SECURITY (btw, those are not same things!)
  • perfektes Add-on!
Einfach installieren und vergessen, das Add-on ändert automatisch alle seiten zu HTTPS, fertig!

  • I have used this extension on Chrome for years. So pleased that I have now found it for Firefox and it works just as well too.
  • What's the idea of full permissions to all my tabs' data?
    Okay, updated my rating.
    Hello there!

There is a really informative Github discussion here: https://github.com/EFForg/https-everywhere/issues/16377 concerning this issue. The way Firefox permission models works, we need to access requests for http+https+ftp. Firefox decided it was sensible to ask the user for "website data" which in this context means your requests to pages, so HTTPS Everywhere can properly upgrade the request to an encrypted one. I hope this addresses your concerns!
  • Essential add on for any browser.
  • Easy to use and very helpful in this day and age.
  • Great add-on that make a redirect link to secure links (over ssl) and in some cases you can force a specific link in http connection to a secure domain name in https, just adding a rule for this.

That's a great and a safe add-on such as demonstration on website virustotal.com, a website that uses a lot of engines against virus and others computer infections...

Tip: How download without install this add-on on firefox?

A simple way -> click on Button with a right mouse button -> [+ Add to Firefox] <- and click in option [Save Link as...] and download it -> [Download File] <- to save it.
  • ist praktikabel
  • good
  • Need fixes!
  • Plus d'un an que je m'en sers, module très utile qui renforce considérablement la sécurité de notre navigateur.
  • Moeilijk om te installeren
  • This should be a default setting turned on in every modern browser. Why is HTTP still a thing? This add-on is God send.
  • It works
  • Does exactly what it's supposed to, without any unnecessary bells and whistles that hog CPU/memory.
  • Used to work fine. Now the latest update wants to access all data among all site and their homepage and FAQ says nothing. So... no.

There is more info for the highly technical at this link (thx roladog) but I am not one of those people.

    Hello there!

To clarify that technical piece, the way Firefox permission models works, we need to access requests for http+https+ftp. The permissions model used to be more expansive than this, and the model changed to be more specific. So Firefox decided it was sensible to ask the user for again for permissions during the update. Which in this context means your requests to pages, so HTTPS Everywhere can properly upgrade the request to an encrypted one. I hope this addresses your concerns!
