Development has ceased. See bug 1283299 for how Mozilla is going to be doing this properly.
Hide the title bar, for GNOME, compatible with Firefox 57+. This add-on provides a Python script to hide the Firefox title bar, and activates it from within Firefox. It was inspired by, but is not endorsed, by the Legacy Add-on HTitle (discontinued).
The Python script is bundled with the add-on and is accessible from the Preferences page under about:addons → Hide Title Bar. This requires a .deb-compatible Linux distribution or some technical expertise.
I am aware of an issue where the extension takes a number of seconds to load on starting the browser. This unfortunately means the title bar only disappears a number of seconds after opening Firefox.
