Even works with tree-tabs Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm a big fan of the FF tree-tabs plugin. It's basically why I use FF instead of Chrome. But it was really annoying me that the tree bar showed up even if I only had one tab open.

I really didn't think that Hide Tab Bar With One Tab would be compatible with tree-tabs, but I tried it just in case. It works perfectly.

I'm using
Tree Style Tab 0.17.2016031101
Hide Tab Bar With One Tab 1.5.1-signed.1-signed
OSX 10.11.5
FF 46.0.1

does just what it says, nice add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Does exactly what it says on the tin :)

Nice, but... Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice, but this lacks the ability to automatically add a button for "Open New Tab" to the toolbar, which Epiphany does.

I love this add-on! I tend to like thing "the way they always were" and this add-on lets me have no visible tab bar when one is not needed. FYI: It seems to work well with Firefox Developer Edition 42.0a1 (2015-08-11)--on Linux, anyway!

You can't open a new tab or use buttons in the tab bar when tab bar is hidden. Show them somewhere else please.

work great on firefox 38

NOT useless Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If the title bar still takes up space negating this addon, that's the fault of the window manager and nothing can change that (cough cough Windows).

Serves my purpose well on Linux, and may be useful to others.

Useless Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I find it useless because when you hide the tab bar, the title bar appears so you get the same space for the browser content. It should let maximize the content (html) space.

Works great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I hate tabbed browsing. I prefer a new window instead of tabs. This add-on is therefor perfect to get rid of the useless, and to me irritating, forced upon tabs by Firefox.

Very nice, Hide Tab Bar With One Tab does exactly what it says Rated 5 out of 5 stars

With one add-on gone is the very 2005-looking Firefox Tab Bar that can't be removed even if you are looking at one page. If you're lucky enough to be on a nice clean OS like Mac OSX you will appreciate this.

Bad behavior with "Tabs on bottom" addon on firefox 31 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm on ff 31 and the addon works but when used with "Tabs on bottom 0.5", it moves bookmarks to top when Hide Tab Bar With One Tab triggers hiding the tab.

It was fine on ff 30.

The bookmarks bar is in the wrong with or without Hide Tab Bar and Tabs on Bottom 0.5 when I tested it. To fix Tab on Bottom, the author needs to add something like:

#PersonalToolbar { -moz-box-ordinal-group: 10001 !important; }

to that extension's css. You could also add that same line to your userChrome.css file if the author does not fix it. (http://kb.mozillazine.org/index.php?title=UserChrome.css) If you do that, look at the example file linked on that page. You need the '@namespace' line too. You could also use Stylish to add it.

Thank you for eliminating pointless wasted space in most of my browser windows Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is yet another extension I'm forced to use to reverse Mozilla developers' insistence on removing sane UI functionality and design. Thank you for bringing back the old behavior so I can use all my vertical screen real estate!

EXACTLY what I wanted/needed! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I simply don't like tabs and prefer to open new browser windows when visiting multiple pages at the same time. FF 29 dropped the ability to recover the wasted screen real estate eaten up by the Tabs bar. Thanks to this great plug-in, I have my vertical screen space back (no Tabs bar)!

Great addon, but needs update for FF29! "Hide title bar" doesn't work with this addon (i.e. title is always shown when there's only one tab). In FF29, if you click on a link with target=_blank, new windows are not opened maximized if the title bar is displayed (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1005098) and using this addon forces you to display title bar...

I tested with the latest Nightly (version 32) and I don't see this problem. I installed version Firefox version 29 and can see this problem with or without this extension. If you select "customize" and select the "Title Bar" button, new windows open windowed. It is a Firefox bug. This extension only counts the number of tabs and if it equals 1, it sets the tabs toolbar to "collapsed". It does nothing to window opening code. Mozilla will have to fix this. I did not test much with the Nightly build of Firefox. I might have missed some test cases so no guarantee it's actually fixed.
