Thanks for this addon. It's very convenient for pentest. Just missing the ability to emulate ajax requests when using with GET or POST. When a script verifies that the xmlhttprequest object was sent, it isn't possible to use the hackbar for the test.

This addon is very good . But i have couple of issues ,

1. Why this is not made as "No Restart" addon , or any plans for that in near future. [ bcoz i use this rarely but when i want i will enable and use it ; Now i need to restart FF for that ]
2. Toolbar taking lot of space . How to minimize it ( also there should be some x mark to hide visibility without going to Toolbars-> unselect)

Thanks!

I think you misunderstand the way Hackbar works. You can enable the toolbar as you would any other toolbar, but hackbar has it's own show/hide functionality. You can use the show/hide hackbar in the tools menu, you can press F9 to toggle it and last but not least: You can add a hackbar toolbar button to your toolbar. I think that answers both your questions? :)

best for me ^_^

Conflict with Custom Toolbars Rated 3 out of 5 stars

While I do like this extension, and am grateful for your hard work, it currently has a conflict with custom toolbars, when they are created via toolbar Customize > Add New Toolbar. Any toolbar created is completely "forgotten" when the browser is restarted. Disabling the Hackbar extension resolves the issue.

My environment is Ubuntu 11.10 + Firefox 10.0.2.

Thanks for all you have done to create this extension, and the best of luck with it. :)

beware. data gets send to their server at rednoize.com with pseudo hash, query and version of their extension. it is readable and rev.engeenerable - pseudo security. there they log additionally anything technically possible with reinvigorate.net script from you. a unique identifier is in a. js. If you use this extension to test your own environment, good luck! the code can be found in crypto.js (end) and the encrypt.js with the "wrong" functions.

No we don't

.. Right. Not really. You can send a hash to the rednoize server to look it up in their hash table. If anything else happens you might have a hacked version. The correct code is accessible in our google project.

Very nice so far! The only thing I'm missing at the moment is an option (maybe in "Useful strings") for NULL characters. To exploit PHP's ereg* function for example.

Awesome comprehensive tool for developers Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Utterly fantastic. I was having to build ExtJS Direct backend server functions and emulating posts to these is somewhat of a pain.

Used LiveHTTP headers to scrape a sample operation and then just tweaked them and replayed them via HackBar.

Life saver!

Amazing addon. Sadly it doesn't get too many updates.

nice but needs fixes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice thing though there are 2 bugs that popedup in my eyes after 5mins of install:
1) The homepage of the plugin is "http://www.izi-services.nl/" rather than this page we view now, which is rather weird to say the least.
2) The button you can place on your toolbar to toggle the hackbar only works when hackbar is enabled in "View->Toolbars", it's more intuitive if it duplicated the behaviour of the "View->Toolbars->Hackbar" setting as an alias.

Because of these i rated 3 star only.

Useful Add-On!
Just one feature missing: Decryption Menu where you can search a selected MD5 Hash at the well known MD5 online DBs. Would be easy since those online DBs provides simple APIs ;)

Great toolbar, I love the "split url" function. Would be amazing if it had a banner grabber.

User Interface ... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice, but it's a bit intrusive. It takes up too much space, on a smaller screen size. I do like it's functionality, but not its' user interface.
