gadget shitflash http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/popout :(
NEED https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nckgahadagoaajjgafhacjanaoiihapd (gtalk gmail/igoogle)!!!
hey great job...!
would like to give a suggestion.
While chatting in gtalk you can copy and paste your conversation in a text file which in this plugin is not possible. It would be really appreciative if this feature is also included in the next version of gtalk sidebar, so that people can save their conversations manually if they wish.
It works great!
i have installed this plug in but it didnt work
when i open the side bar even though i dont find any option for login or for chat window...
i just seems blank side bar...
I thought it was kinda cool but then I found out I could achieve the same result by creating a bookmark to http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client
that loads in the sidebar.
Why is it flash? and why cant you copy and past all from there?
why no settings ? in all pretty good but it looses a lot of features
just a great addon but i'm missing a sound to allert if a message is coming. This because i use the all in one sidebar with the option autohide select.
thank you again
Quite fine, but it should allow to configure the GT gadget URL so the users of hosted GT can also use it.
The height of GTgadget window shouldn't be fixed.
You wouldn't happen to know what that url is would you?
great ext but...
why it logs out from talk when I hit ALT+G to hide the side bar?
Very good look & feel and good functionality, but... no UTF-8 characters support! I'm portuguese anda I can't write letters like "ã" (appears ã), "º" (º) or "ç" (ç)!
With FF 3.0.2 update, this works great now; previously FF wouldn't know that I had flash install and would request it (would happen with the standalone Google Gadget - not the installable client - as well, so it's not necessarily this add-on).
I use Flock 2, and it doesn't have the ability to add things to the sidebar unlike it's foundation, Firefox, and this addon does the trick! The only thing that would be better is if it made a noise upon receiving an IM just like the gTalk IM program does. 5 stars, keep up the good work!
itz really good idea
works well with AiOS (All-In-One Sidebar)
Would be better for these 3 Reasons:
1. Auto Log in
2. AIM Compatibility
3. Yahoo! IM Compatibility. If so, I will use it ALWAYS. AND I WILL RECCOMMEND IT TO MY FRIENDS WHO USE FIREFOX AND AIM/Y! IM, which is over 50!!! PLZZ add, thanx.
if possible, please add to choose "automatic log in" and when log in gtalk, please do not open a new window, just in sidebar.
thank you very much for this add on.
this could be nice if it had improvements and options, like being able to choose the shortcut to use for displaying the sidebar, being able to set the default size of it, having it taking all the space and make the "pop up" button work..
Elsewhere, it's better to have the sidebar added as a bookmark that opens in sidebar (this can already be done without extensions).
Works good :)
Would have been better ...
1.If the pop out function worked,
2.If an alert is displayed for every new message
if you given settings would be great for this extension. like remove pictures, side bar position, resize the side bar upto 1cm width.
Good extension but it can be done without the extension. The extension just takes up space. The gTalk web app has more features than the GTalk app so its nice to have.
I'm with Egan Foote on this one why would you install this when you can add the bookmark http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client to your sidebar?
This extension is completely worthless. You can accomplish the same thing by creating a Bookmark with the following address and selecting "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" in the bookmark's properties: http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/client
The extension also creates an odd frame at the bottom, wasting a ton of valuable space. Don't waste your time with this.
Wonderful extension for gTalk users!
