Great addon Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Would give a 5 star if I add-on would allow user to give a greater than 1024px site-width. Otherwise, excellent add-on, good work dev.

Thanks for bring back .. there are applications that require a fixed column width, and it always will be. for example industrial applications that only run on office computers, not on tablets or mobile end devices. for these developments GridFox is a very valuable aid. I use it under centos 6.4 with firefox 17.0.6

dead not work Rated 4 out of 5 stars

GridFox work on FF 19.0.2 windows 8 -64 bit last update. Best ll be have a way -----to change color of gutter or column----that gridfox stay visible when thepage is reload ( need to reactivate it when css change occur) ..........................................................................................................................................................................................take care of 1) zoom normal for browser , and 2) of column size gutter (1/2) added by some web grid tool in righ and left side (1kb CSS grid) . if you work on 960 px , site width in gridfox must be 940 px

Doesn't work on FF 19. Author's home page has been taken down. Appears to be abandonded, sadly.

1024px limitation sucks. Type in the number directly is okay. BUT the full Grid is 100px wider, as i typed in (1140px -> 1240px). "Varied" seems to be an good option, but it does not work for me, too. Because the "Line/Gutter Thickness" above make it impossible to setup the width of single columns.

So maybe i dont understand the settings right. But currently its useless for me :(

Awesome - would like to keep grid on 'refresh' Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Totally awesome add on. Would be great when a site is refreshed, that the grid would stay there, especially useful when developing a site

Limited width Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Simple functioinality but the width of the grid is limited to 1024. The opacity is dark making it difficult to view the site sometimes. Otherwise it can be helpful.

EDIT: Eric's reply below is correct. I missed the opacity setting. The width setting can be typed in but, unless you save the grid, gets reset to the defaults when you click on the "edit" button. That is why I missed that.

To get a site width wider than 1024, you can type the number in the box (instead of using the slider).

I'll increase the site width slider in the next version anyways, since many sites go past 1024 these days.

To adjust the opacity of the grid overlay:
Right click > GridFox > Preferences > Opacity

No function in Firefox 4 Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Great extension, perfect, but not visible in firefox 4 :(

If you could at least change the opacity of the grid.

Nice extension nonetheless.

Right click > GridFox > Preferences > Opacity

I'm only giving this plugin 3 out of 5. While it's useful, it's limited to only my browser. What would be ideal is if there was a way to export the grids I've created so that other users can use them for design & dev (especially sharing with colleagues).

Also it lost 2 grids I had created so I had to recreate them. It also doesn't offer all the options/flexibility I need to match to our internal design guidelines (based on a grid system).
