A nice idea if it did not make my browser slower, as if strangling even more RAM and processing speed like the current version of FF is doing now. I think before you release this, you should get it out of the 'Omega-phase' and into the beta version first.

Nice work Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This extension is an amazing must-have one !
Nevertheless, the full long text in the status bar takes too much place. Is there a possibility to replace (in options) the text by an icon ?
It would be great !

This addon would absolutely deserve 5 stars if it weren't for the use of my taskbar for advertizing itself. I understand that you are providing a service by making your server available to us for the redirects, but please consider removing the phrase and replacing it with an icon, I am confident this addon will become popular on its own merit.

Very great addon!
For those who doubt about if it really saves your privacy, test the following:
Open google.com
=> You should be redirected to your version of google (for me it is google.de) automatically!
=> With this addon you are not redirected anymore!!!

Looks good, but there's no way to know whether it's doing its job or not, except to trust the author. And dude, could you write in an option to have something a little smaller than "Google Sharing Enabled" taking up valuable space on my taskbar? It's almost enough to make me ditch your service and just use Scroogle.

Advanced Search? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It seems not to be possible to use `Advanced Search' as this leads
to a new tab/window with the error message:

The page isn't redirecting properly
Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this
address in a way that will never complete.
* This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to

... how this can be done?

Who knows... Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It seems like a good idea, however, take this plugin with a grain of salt. The makers are not identifiable, and all their associated domains are registered via proxy (haha), and are thus anonymous. Who knows if your data is more secure with them than with Google?

Seems to work well with all my installs (Win7, *nix, OS X), except Namoroka on PPC Mac OS 10.5.8

Localize It now please Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This very good tool for privacy is simple enough to be mainstream and be distributed worldwide. I have made a locale support version to be grabbed here
http://babelwiki.babelzilla.org/images/a/a5/Google_sharing_locale_support.xpi
(included en-US and fr only) If you need more languages for free, you are welcome to submit on http://www.babelzilla.org

I use Google's Public DNS (http://code.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using.html), and I am wondering if this GoogleSharing add-on would still work for folks using Google's Public DNS...anyone know?

Faktor12, HTTPAnalyzer shows you the HTTP data before it hits the wire (and GoogleSharing). You need to run an actual ethernet sniffer to see the encrypted data.

I tested all Google requests with HTTPAnalyzer and they are going through Google, not through GoogleShare. In other words, it does not work.

Plugin has been working great for several weeks now. I would recommend using a different proxy server however: googelsharing.riseup.net same port settings.

The folks at Riseup.net have a solid reputation and provide a number of great services. Check them out if you haven't already.

I don't trust Google but I'm hooked on their search engine so I gave this a shot. It hasn't caused any me problems and doesn't seem to slow down my searches; I only hope I can trust Mr. Marlinspike:-0
