One or two additional features to suggest Rated 5 out of 5 stars
John Jamison made a suggestion on Dec. 1, 2009, suggesting that .
the add-on permit a hotkey to be able to switch back and forth between the translated text and the original, and this sounds like a good idea, however another idea that I had in mind is for an option to be added so that when a person uses the add-on to translate text, then the add-on, if the option for this feature has been selected or activated in the add-on's configuration settings, would or could provide the translated text in a separate tab next to the tab in which the user asked for a translation. It might be less annoying to switch back and forth the way John suggested, but it still requires reloading the page, while reloading wouldn't be involved if the user set the add-on to place translated text in an adjacent tab.
I don't know if there'd be a problem with that for users employing the Tab Mix Plus add-on and setting it to open tabs after all already opened tabs, instead of next to the tab that a user is in when having another tab opened, which is how I have TMP open new tabs; at then end, instead of adjacently.
If that is a TMP setting that would be easy enough to program the Google Translator add-on to work around or not enter in conflict with, permitting GT to open an adjacent tab for translated texts while TMP is set to open tabs after all other tabs, and I think this would be possible without any special work-around coding being required, and if the above features can be added without requiring much time, then maybe both options or features could be added.
I don't know how much time it'd take to do this, so this post is made without any pressure being intended; only posting some thoughts.
