Awesome! But fails with Gmail Notifier in Ubuntu Unity Rated 5 out of 5 stars

With Gmail Notifier (https://addons.mozilla.org/ca/firefox/addon/gmail-notifier-restartless/) & Ubuntu 14.04 Unity I can see 2 notifications: first the "raw" notification, and half second later the GNotifier notification. After reinstalling both extensions the problem continues.

Does what it says on the tin. Thanks!

Amazing. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Honestly, I would rate this add-on 6 stars.

I was missing some features since I moved on from Windows and this add-on brought it back. I can't stress enough how much it improved my experience.

Thanks a lot.

This works great on Firefox / Waterfox & Firefox Developer.

I've tried it out on Thunderbird as well yet sadly new mail notifications don't use the Windows 8 notification system. If this feature was fixed I'd definitely rate this 5 stars.

I have installed GNotifier with Pale Moon for Linux on Ubuntu Trusty and it works really well. Only minor flaw is the wrong icon that is displayed, I fixed that by adding
if (system.name == "Pale Moon")
picon = "palemoon";
to utils.js.

Thank you for your patch for "Pale Moon". I will include it in the next version of GNotifier.

Awesome Extension Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Edit: started working again so back to 5 Stars. :)

This extension is fantastic when it was working..Firefox's notifications get in the way a LOT especially if you setup PushBullet to provide Android notifications in your Firefox (awesome but gets overbearing).

I installed this extension on Firefox Nightly 35 and it worked GREAT but then I updated to Nightly 36 and it does not seem to work at all anymore.

Msg to Dev: I am using Firefox Nightly (36) on Arch Linux with GNOME Shell 3.14 and libnotify 0.7.6. - I am fairly certain it worked fine with GNOME 3.14 before the upgrade to Nightly 36. As of now, none of the notifications are being sent to libnotify, not even the basic download completed messages.

Should be implemented by default

Works Exceptionally Well.Brilliant Piece Of Work! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

One word would be enough.Brilliant.

The concept of the add-on is pretty simple and it achieves exactly what it advertisess with ease and grace. I use firefox to monitor the notifications on my phone and this addon sends them directly to the default notify-osd daemon and integrates them beautifully with the system notifications.

Excellent work and Thanks for this gem!

Works most of the time Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Sometimes random notifications (mostly from Add-on SDK extensions, it seems) don't get redirected tot he system's notification daemon. Handy, but brings the downside of not being able to interact with notifications, depending on your system's notification daemon (Daemons supporting actions should already be used by default by Firefox as far as I know).

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.8.5.1-signed).

Some extensions do not work with GNotifier. Sometimes it can be fixed with small change in code. Please, give the names of extensions that do not work and I will try to find where is the problem.

Regarding "interaction", from version 1.8.5 "click action" is supported and for most notification daemons it works fine. Unfortunately it doesn't work for Ubuntu (Unity).

Спасибо! Отличное расширение, давно искал для KDE что-то подобное.

Great! I have been a lot of time looking for this, now I don't miss any Firefox/Thunderbird notification. It shows the icon based on your icon theme, so everything looks nice. I haven't experienced any issue so far with Manjaro Xfce.
Thanks.

Great, seems to work fine under Xfce! Much better than the default ugly FF notification.

Seems to work nicely with Thunderbird 30.0a2 on KDE after modifying install.rdf manually. You should really update metadata on AMO for easier installs without manual steps required ;)
