It does not work properly in Linux. When this is installed into Iceweasel 3.5.10 on Debian Squeeze, all of my extensions in Tools -> Add-ons say that they are disabled, including this theme and the default tango theme.
The real winner comes when I click on the support link to report the problem as a bug. The support link takes me straight to the general Mozilla forum at dslreports.com. That's not exactly how I would prefer to report a bug to the developer.
I love it, adds great with the other tango style on my windows system and on all my other apps.
I love it!!! It goes so beautifully with the GNOME theme / Visual Style I am using, thank you :o)
PS. I like the dark tab strip but thanks for providing a way to remove it if need be.
Went to developer's page and saw listing of JAR files and tried it on OS X w FF3.6b4
Works fine and looks very nice. I wish the buttons were a little bigger for high resolution monitors but it's a snappy theme. Good job.
good~but some problem in firefox 3.5~such as below the Tab bar, there is a Black line
Crisp, clean, and straight forward. No green neon or pulsating icons...just a super usable theme.
Simple Clean & Correct!
Works great! Great Idea
I like it alot though each time I apply it now, nothing happens. I get the standard Strata theme buttons, just the tabs are changed.
Works great! Pulls my Gnome theme icons directly!
Save for the navigational buttons it seems to work with Mac OS X (tried Linux version). Well... that makes it still kind of unusable on OS X... 3 stars because, well, it's just in the middle... it can't suck because I KNOW there's no official OS X version but I just can't give a five... the icons looked nice, though.
I like themes that aren't overdone.
Looks great/works fine with vista.
It says I can't install this theme in linux :)
If anyone is looking for a good Gnome theme:
uninstalled 5 seconds after intalling
I appreciate your work, but tabs are still ugly and have trouble scaling certain favicons and image icons (when you open an image in FF, a gigantic miniature blows up the tab that it's bigger than all the other bars together). Tango 3 theme is just as nice and works smoothly, I don't know why it's still experimental.
nice snapshot.. i'll try it!;)
its nice but the tabs are still ugly as turd.
very nice looking, yet not distracting and very recognizable icons. Almost as good as the old default firefox 2 theme.
I like this theme!
Not sure why this is called Gnome where this has a mixture of Gnome and Tango icons here...
(Both links don't work with FF 3 BTW.)
PLEASE MAKE THIS THEME AVAILABLE FOR MAC OSX!
"This theme hasn't been tested with Windows Vista, Mac or Linux as the developers have no access to those systems. USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!"
pardon me but what os has it been tested on?? It really seems odd that "Gnome Classic is not available for Linux."
I think I'm going to leave a mark scratching my head on this one ;-)
Very nice iconset, but as others have said it is missing some bits. The tabs are very basic. Thankfully it fits into the basic theme I have running in WindowBlinds very well, may work for you.
It looks like the tabs are still messed up. I see the text and little X to close the tab, but no actual tab. Everything else seems to be coming along nicely though. Just keep plugging because this will be a nice theme to have back.
