today constantly checking email without any results, make Firefox so slow.
Sorry, my English is bad
Thanks for the fix!
Thank you so much, Trinh Nguyen. This add-on still remains the best and most useful out of all of the ones out there having anything to do with gmail. There is nothing that can replace this. I truly appreciate you keeping this updated.
No this is NOT a bullshit add-on. All add-ons occasionally stop working because of changes from Firefox or elsewhere. The authors can not see into the future as to what changes others will make that will break a add-on. The author just needs to find out what the problem is and fix it. I have been using this add-on for years and it is the best I have come across for my 52 gmail accounts. He does this for free on his own time. You did not pay for it. So because it does not work right now don't call it bullshit. You sound like a troll and a ass! Once he finds the problem he ALWAYS fixes it. Smart ass comments will just piss him off and delay action. Just chill. If you pay for an add-on and it does not work, then you can call it bullshit, Until then go troll elsewhere!
Great addon but it stop working with new Firefox update. Login problem, addon give message "no access try again later".
Since yesterday evening it stopped working saying "failed access". It might be something related to the way Gmail accepts connections from third party apps.
This is the ONLY Gmail app that I like and that I've been using for a long time.
I hope it gets fixed soon, there isn't any other similar Gmail app for Firefox like this!
Been using Gmail Manager till now (yeah, for some reason it still works for me). As of this morning, it has also stopped working - each account gets a login prompt. I was looking for an alternative as I thought Gmail Manager had finally died, when I saw the review from Connor.
It looks like something may have changed at the Gmail end which is preventing these extensions from connecting...
So far it's working well. Glad to have it as a replacement for another add-on that stopped working after Google changed something in its authentication. Thanks for keeping this add-on current!
Каждый раз при перезапуске программы требует опять залогиниться в почту. И галочка о том, чтобы пароли сохранялись стоит. Это ужасно бесит.
your extension always working good until a couple day ago. I've got this error msg when firefox start http://i.imgur.com/v17h1Gql.jpg
please fix this error, thanks for your great work :)
The add-on works well enough, coming from Gmail Manager (and its many forks). But if you leave a gmail tab open, you WILL get logged out for no reason at all. I know the author of the extension says it's because you either opened a different gmail account or manually signed out, but that's not the case for me. Only one account is used, and I never manually log out, and yet I'll go to my gmail tab only to find that I've been logged out and have to sign in again.
Frustrating enough to leave this review and to install a different add-on. I like everything else about this one, but I need to stay logged in!
trying this due to gmail-manager-ng breakage in FF32; works nicely; I would like and almost NEED multiple task-bar icons (one per account). thank you.
Glad to see this addon back online here. Truth is, this gmail checker is by far the best out there. A big thank you to the dev and a big 'get lost' to ungrateful people complaining about this addon.
This extension is simply a must for anyone with multiple Gmail accounts. Features such as auto-login, quick-preview, multi-select and delete or "mark as read" make management a breeze - and all of this without even having to open up a Gmail tab. The interface is clean, simple, easy to read, and navigation is quick & efficient.
So far, I haven't found a single other add-on that does a better job of multiple account management. Every other extension that claims to manage multiple accounts (e.g. "Gmail Notifier restartless"), you need to manually link accounts together yourself in Gmail. Not only that, but as soon as you clear your history or Google cookies, you need to do the whole process again! For someone like me who has 8 accounts - 5 of which I use regularly - this is just not feasible.
Gmail Checker thankfully doesn't suffer from any of these flaws. And before people go giving this a bad rating because suddenly it doesn't work with Google's latest update, keep in mind that there's only one developer working on it, unpaid, and they have a busy life too.
Truly an extension worthy of a 5-star rating.
Very good. The only "problem" is the short time to hide and this option isn't configurable.
It works well in the same way as before.
great to have gmail checker fully functioning again.
New version Version 2.6.4 found by going to home page and reading Friday, 18 July 2014 is now able to check my account and log in with no error message from Google so I am keeping the same five star rating I have always given this great tool. thanks for the hard work Trinh Nguyen
Firefox 29, GMail Checker 2.6.3 won't login in any of my accounts. Downgraded to 2.6.1 and everything's fine. That's weird?
It was working fine, have it on 6 computers, but about a week ago it no longer works.
You can downgrade to 2.6.2 and it will work for a day, but on the next day it automatically upgrades back to 2.6.3 and fails. Does this regardless of setting the FF option to NOT Automatically upgrade.
The only way to defeat it is to make some changes in the about:config, but it depends on the version of FF you're using. Those of us using Windows XP are limited to upgrades, so you have to be tricky on making any changes.
I'm seeing many users upset over 2.6.3 failing. Gmail is important, and there don't seem to be any good (alternative) FF addons as good as the old Gmail Checker 2.6.2 and earlier. If 2.6.3 isn't fixed, I may start using Chrome. I'd rather stay with FF though. If 2.6.3 can't be fixed, seems the author could at least modify it to not update automatically.
Same problem until reverting to 2.6.2. I switched firewall programs around the same time and thought that might have been the cause, but it's definitely a problem with 2.6.3. Rating will go back to 5 starts when fixed!
Downgrading will not work with 2-factor authentication tho.
Please fix it!
Thank you rebecca615,downgrading to 2.6.2. That worked for me too ;)
i hope the next uptade fix that ;)
Try downgrading to 2.6.2. That worked for me.
