Overall a very solid extension, but the latest Firefox seemed to have changed something; None of the 'glass' options give me a look I like, where the current tab is 'brighter' than the rest. Either the current tab blends in or is darker, which is counter intuitive. If I could get the exact inverse of "Glass Tab v3" that'd be perfect.
Edit: Dunno what all you changed with this new version, because now "Glass Tabs v2" is absolutely perfect. Thank you!
I changed tabs back to the old ones from v1.1.x and added the newer ones from v1.2 as own selectable tabs. There are now two versions of 'Glass Tab v3', normal and inv., selectable on add-ons manager, but I think the 'normal v3' is now what you are looking for. Can you give me some feedback?
Please add again "Glass Tabs" option
Go to the settings (Add-ons->Extensions->GlassMyFox->Options) and select your glass tabs from the corresponding setting. I haven't removed it. ;-)
Excelente hasta el momento ningún problema con la estabilidad, la apariencia mejoró enormemente.
very beautiful but a little remark: please give a different contrast to the tab you are reading on top otherwise it's indistinguishable from the others opened in background making it difficult to understand on which tab you need to click if you you want close or push on top. THANKS!
... As suggested I try Glass v3 and I like it. Is just what I wish! Thanks again and sorry... Now is pratically perfect.
Have you already tried all tab variations GMF offers? Add-on manager -> GlassMyFox -> Options?
I'm a total sucker for glass effects :3
I made the Firefox icon small and blue, it made Firefox feel like a completely different browser!
An excellent add on for windows 7 and most Vista users. If only Mozilla would adopt it as an automatic feature.
what a amazing tool for Firefox. If you use windows 7 and use aero transparency theme, you should try this
Great enhancement and fine customizable. Only problems I found on some Java based sites, where glass effect makes crappy readability on them (An example here: http://ibmtvdemo.edgesuite.net/servers/power/demos/power_730/index.html), and I did not find the way how to customize it for eliminating that effect... -|-
Modified: Yes, it is happen when "Remove white color gradient from window" setting is on. However when I disable that option, it makes a sharp glass transition on Vertical toolbar add-on :-) But it is only cosmetic problem and I know there are certain system limitations... Anyway, excellent job and deserved 5 stars.
Is it possible that you have enabled the "expert setting" to remove the window gradient (the very last one at the bottom)? That setting breaks application plugins like Adobes PDF Plugin too. Besides that setting no other setting breaks the site your posted a link to for me.
Very customizable, i enjoyed! and glass download window is beautiful.
Very nice. I also appreciated the ability to customize the Firefox button to show only the icon, freeing up additional screen real estate (I use the "Tabs in Titlebar" option). My one (very minor) quibble is that my Tabs didn't take advantage of the additional space right away; I had to toggle the Tabs in Titlebar option off and then on again to get them to adjust to the Firefox button's new width.
How do you place your tabs in titlebar?
No problems here when "Tabs Always In Titlebar" extension is used.
Looks really good on Win7 Aero. Could use a little polishing, so to speak, but the dev appears to be actively working on it.
Thanks, suggestions are welcome.
Oh it is great piece of add-on, works perfectly!!
Thanks developers, for your nice work.
Realmente bueno el Theme, pero el unico defecto que le veo es que se realentiza cuando uno se pasea por los marcadores.
Ojala que en futuras versiones arreglen este aspecto
but could you go to the support page http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=2410445 and descibe the problem a bit more clearer in English. Google translator doesn't get it right and I don't speak Spanish.
very customizable, expect more great features in the future.
Thanks. Sure, I will add something again in the future ;-)
GJ keep working :)
Works flawlessly with almost any other addon or interface modification.
Only aroblem: The text in sidebars like bookmarks is a little hard to read due to the transparent background.
It would be nice if it was possible to give the text a white shadow or change the transparency settings for the sidebar, like with every other part of the window.
The bookmarks and history sidebar content doesn't allow much customization. Some changes (background color/transparency) would have a negative effect on some other Firefox settings and windows. It is also not possible for bookmark/history content to have text shadows. The only feature I can provide atm, is a font color selector for those text areas. Check the latest devbuild (Version 1.1pre4): https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/glassmyfox/versions/
Супер!!!!! Это как раз то что я хотел для моего любимого браузера!!!!!
Best of the best!!!!!
Firefox должен изначально так выглядеть!А не после установки add-ons! :-)
BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!
Спасибо. хорошо знать что GlassMyFox тебе/вам нравится! ;-)
easy setup and cool look to firefox
Nice clear job Aris!
I´m familiar with this full aero style cause I tweaked my ff with stylish and it looked just like your add on, now I use only glassmyfox.
Just like Rob Iverson, perfect if it had an option for full glass buttons, just the back & fw buttons with back frame, and full aero for url bar ;)
A Glass buttons option will be in next version.
Works great. The options are great (though I don't use many of them).
Two issues I have.
First - the toolbar text options give text that doesn't visibly differentiate between disabled actions and enabled actions. Example: look at the Findbar (Ctrl+F) and check the difference between firefox default (where Next etc are disabled) and the GMF default... EDIT: This has been perfectly resolved (5 stars now).
Second, smaller and personal - I don't really like how the navbar buttons look. Even the "glass buttons" option doesn't change it, and they just look too un-glassy for me. EDIT: Much glassier now (was this you or a FF beta update?) Thanks either way.
Toolbarbuttons will get an option to look more glassy in next version and I'll look into the disabled text issue.
I take back my previous minor complaint, as I saw in a response you posted earlier about the pre-release version of 1.1 and Stylish. Now I have no idea on what to complain about.
