Love it :D
Works really well! I used to use it back when I used Windows 7 and it was great!
Now I have Windows 8 and can enable aero transparency, BUT, Mr./Ms. Developer, BigMuscle's website for installing aero on Windows 8 has been relocated to here: http://www.glass8.eu/ :) please fix your description!
Thanks. Links will be updated.
icons turn into white once it's installed on FF v31+
edit: I use default settings
Is it possible you have enabled th option "white toolbar button icons"?
Have you checked whether the option is active or not? Icons stay dark for me without it.
Make sure there are no other add-ons active, which can change toolbar button icons.
You are not using a Persona/Theme, are you?
Works great, loving all of the options. With the "Glass Tab Content", it would be great to be able to be able to select specific pages or websites that we want glass.
Great great addon. I love this addon. Thank you for the answer! If you take over a Russian translation, Russian Europe you will be pleased and grateful. But you can test the beta version in Russian? You can write an e-mail.
After someone sends me the translated file (or a link to it) I will test it and then upload a new GMF build with it.
Really good add on, The only complaint I have is that I can't find a way to have the window colour as the theme colour.
Once the window color is "transparent" is should get window color set in your Windows settings automatically.
Love it!! Great work.
Messes up with pined tabs. It would be absolutely great if this could be fixed.
Otherwise add-on is doing great !
very cool add-on works well with your Classic theme in firefox29
A nice Aero touch to make Firefox look even more great
This addon just looks great. However, I miss one crucial feature: Disable transparency for "glowing" app tabs. If you enable transparency for tabs, you lose the blue glow that indicates a change in your app tab. I realy like that indicator feature and blue glowing tabs would look quite awesome right next to the transparent tabs. Thus, it would be perfect to have the option to disable the transparency on changed app tabs.I also think that there should be an option to highlight the active tab, but this might become obsolete with the Australis interface.
This will be fixed on next update.
There is a visual difference between active, hovered and normal tabs, but on some of GMFs tab options the difference might be not as noticeable as on default tabs.
Thumps up works great, cheers
Great add-on actually, but now browser icon in windows toolbar display preview of all tabs opened like IE style, how to disable this feature ?
It was my fault, sorry :)
GMF has no feature like that.
Are you sure you have not enabled "Options -> Tabs -> Show tab previews in Wndows taskbar", which has nothing to do with GMF ?
Great add on but would be better without the shadowed text. Maybe the text could be black?
Where to you have setup shadowed text? Screenshots?
Most things are optional in GMF. Look through its settings.
great addon! with stylish installed, i also get a transparent about:blank page. but one question: is it possible to show a picture in the centre of about:blank page? before i activated the feature making about:blank page transparent, i had a picture centered, defined in userContent.css which is now gone also. the question is: is it possible, to keep your great transparancy in about:blank AND to keep this picture in the middle also?
Sadly its not possible, because the transparency is achieved by reducing opacity of about:blank to "0".
I think this addon looks great. Question? is there anyway to change it so images are not transparent? It seems to make some of my webpages "hazy" looking
You are using some of the "expert tweaks", right? It is not possible to exclude images or any other content from settings in "expert tweaks" category.
Best theme ever. Highly responsive developer who makes changes and adds stuff based on user feedback.
My only wish is for Chrome to support a theme such as this.
I could dive in, inspect the CSS and re-release this as an addon of my own, but I'll leave it to the author to fix; The identity box text isn't modified, notification popup text isn't modified, options dialogs aren't touched either! This makes seeing some things on dark webpages difficult, if not impossible. For that reason alone GMF gets four stars. To make it a five-star application, I made a style for Stylish users to add. Let's hope the author checks out the CSS and makes good these changes. Find it here: http://userstyles.org/styles/93511
I'll look into this.
You should also look more into GMFs options. Some of your requested areas can be changed by using the corresponding options.
- the identity box text gets modified (-> urlbar & searchbar text)
- most options dialogs are modified
- white text on prefwindows
"This makes seeing some things on dark webpages difficult, if not impossible." Thats true, but optimize text for dark pages can make it unuseable on some light pages.
If you have found bugs or some areas that are not modified, you can ask about them via email or inside support forum.
Some browser areas can be changed by Stylish but not by a bootstrapped (restartless) add-on like GMF.
Re-releasing active non-discontiued add-ons is agains AMO rules. ;-) 'Your' add-on would probably get banned/rejected.
I have animated wallpapers on my computer and with glassmyfox I am able to see the animation playing behind my browser. It looks amazing!
thanks for reply... btw i'm feeling better on this add ons ..thanks for awesome add ons.
This is by far the most gorgeous theme ever! I love the transparent look, very modern and sophisticated, please keep it compatible for all future fox versions.
initially thought 4 stars for functionality, but definitely 5 stars for providing the rich set of toggles and tweak possibilities!
