This is a great idea. I have added it to my "Charities and Kindness" collection here on AMO.
Very noble. Can we pick our charities?
In 4 months, I have raised over 60 quid for RNIB...and I'm not normally somebody who donates to charity. An excellent app, doing social good with next to no effort!
Brilliant, easy to install and you give to charity every time you buy things online without costing you anything.
Nice new way to raise money for your favourite charity (I'm supporting Amnesty International). Lots of new shops being added all the time too.
This is a great app for online shopping addicts. It's very intuitive and the concept of giving a donation to charity when you buy stuff is such a nice idea.
What a fantastic app! It allows you to carry out your normal shopping while giving to your favourite charity. I have bought everything from tupperware to travel insurance through Give as you Live with no added donation from myself. Simple, effective and it makes you feel better for excessive online shopping!
Fantastic - I don't have to do anything and I've raised almost £100 for Ovarian Cancer Action. Fantastic!!
No need to remember to shop through a particular website to raise funds for your cause any longer. This add-on will stay with you and remind you! Thousands of stores are on board. And you'll be amazed how much you raise by just shopping as you would normally. You can give to your favourite cause with no extra effort or cost to you!
When you are buying on-line "Give as you live" watches what you search for and provides additional search results from sellers who are prepared to make a donation to your chosen charity. It does not cost you anything and still leaves you free to buy from anywhere you want. You have nothing to lose except the time taken to install the app. It's a new system so at present it only works in the UK but already major retailers like Tesco are signed up. If you support a charity you should tell them about this; its an easy way for all their supporters to raise serious cash whilst surfing. As a user its very easy to use except that you have to agree to each supplier donating before they will be sent the request but that is not hard. Even my 85 year old mother can use it! Its just like using an on-line reward card like Nectar or or Tesco Club Card but instead of you getting points your charity gets cash. Each time you are told how much your activities have raised for your charity so far.
