- Rated 3 out of 5by Soy H, 21 days agoI’ve contacted the support team about an issue that’s causing layout problems on a specific site. Overall, I’m quite satisfied with everything else, and it would be even better if this issue could be resolved.

posted 12 days agoHi there,
Thanks for reaching out! We have released a fix for piccrew.me yesterday (19.11..24) and should be live for all users. It was quite complicated case. Thanks for your patience!
If it now works to your satisfaction, changing your rating would be much appreciated by the entire Ghostery Team.

- Rated 3 out of 5by thunderstrike23, 3 months agoEver since the most recent update, it's had trouble detecting ads/trackers/etc on some sites. It'll say 'zero' and I'll get in-page popups and banner ads anyway. Also rather dislike that the 'restrict site' option appears to be missing now.

Ghostery Team - Rated 3 out of 5by Firefox user 13434134, 3 months agoProbably still good, but they're losing the plot. It's unwieldy to go through the settings and even then you still don't know if the trackers are up to date. I had an account there but I wanted to change the password. Nope! You can change the email but not the compromised password. I tried a new account but some standard symbols aren't accepted. Good luck. I'd rather have the old version.

All your feedback is correct and we apologize for your experience!
- Re: "don't know if the trackers are up to date" - the TrackerDB is updated with every release but we will add a force-update to the settings to satisfy everyone.

- Rated 3 out of 5by Wayfinder, 5 months agoGhostery is sometimes great, sometimes not so great. I have seen it allow through multiple pop-up "Adult" ads (for X-rated games especially) while triggering the YouTube "We're about to stop your viewing" warning. I understand this is an ongoing war between Google and ad-blockers, and Google needs to wise up both in the number of ads it employs on YouTube and their length (a 30 second ad every 3 minutes on a video is ridiculous). And if Ghostery won't stop X-rated ads, what value is it?
This is a complex field and I sympathize with the company. It does stop a LOT of ads and the settings are versatile (allowing to restrict some sites while blocking others). But it doesn't really do all the job all the time... and the YouTube war is a real problem for the whole industry since Google seems to have no common sense whatsoever. - Rated 3 out of 5by MJcarlile, 8 months ago

- Rated 3 out of 5by Tungstie, a year agoGhostery used to work fine, but something in Youtube's code changed in the last few hours (10.26.23) which makes the page not display at all (just a blown-up video vignette + a broken user menu) unless you disable Ghostery...
Fixed needed quickly please!Developer response
posted a year agoHi there, all ad blockers are confronted with the same problem. Please see further details here: https://www.wired.com/story/youtubes-ad-blocker-crackdown-spurs-record-uninstalls/
Also please check our status page for more information: https://www.ghostery.com/status - Rated 3 out of 5by Marvin Finch, a year agoI used Ghostery for many years now and was very happy with it (= 5 stars). However, a couple weeks ago ads started to appear on websites again (and if you're not used to it, this is very annoying). I tried to get it to work again but no luck. Had to switch to another blocker and now I'm hassle free again. Thanks for the good time!
