La mejor opción para mantener la privacidad en la navegación web
No incomóda en absoluto, está bien hecho, tiene una base de datos realmente completa.
Felicitaciones a los creadores.
Great addon. It's nice to see all those trackers blocked.
Very secure add-on. Love it.
Pretty awesome in general. Only tumblr.com seems to hate this extension. They have it so that you get logged out randomly if ghostery is enabled, and can't login again, comment or search and stuff. -_-
Hi cy, if you are a user of tmblr, then you should consider unblocking tumblr entries in the options. If you need more support, please ask on our support board: https://getsatisfaction.com/ghostery/
I use Ghostery to disable Google Analytics on the websites I develop so that me accessing the sites 1000 times a day doesn't mess with the results in the analytics!
Everything worked great until yesterday, where Ghostery prevented redirects. For example:
All of my redirects stopped working- it took a day of tearing my hair out before I figured out that disabling Ghostery would fix the problem. Please fix this so that I can re-enable Ghostery!
Hi Chris, Ghostery also prevents redirects in certain cases, and this is an advanced option in the Ghostery Options. If you need more detailed answer, please proceed to our support board at https://getsatisfaction.com/ghostery/
A must-have for the privacy-conscious. Great execution. 5 stars!
Thank you, and please remain great!
Since you can't prove a 'negative', I don't know if Ghostery is blocking all the trackers and cookies it encounters. However, it always alerts me that it's stopping some - frequently, many - and I'll take that. I like the new options that allow you to globally block/unblock a site and the site-specific blocking and the whitelisting. It gives the user the ability to 'fine tune' the options rather than being on or off. Thank you Jose and Felix for the improvements. Go, Go, Ghostery! (OK, I know that's awful.)
Does what it say it does. Refreshing!
My daughter recommended that I get Ghostery and I am very glad that I did. Works great and does not slow things down.
Must have addon!
Best tool to block tracking sites.
great aid , and doesn't get in the way like many blockers
Ghosterly is much more relevant than DO NOT TRACK ME. Ghosterly focuses especially on things I am doing on various sites and alerts me to who is tracking me. I like the control Ghosterly gives me to decide whether to block or allow trackers. I would allow a tracker from the National Park Service since they do short surveys asking how to better their website and for better placement of their webcams. I would welcome them.
Good addon but it doesn't refresh itself when going back a page, instead showing the previous pages blocked cookies, unless the page is refreshed.
Awesome extension, does exactly what it's supposed to! Still finding it hard to believe there are so many trackers.. Superb!
Take your time to get to know what Ghostery's settings do. Look around for more info about how to configure it. It does its job nicely.
this extension does the job outstandingly and it is very customizable! I couldn't ask for anything better
Great! I feel a lot more confident browsing the web. Just checked & it blocked 7 trackers on the New York Times main page.
But it occupies a lot of space in addon bar although almost the same we can see in Navigation bar.
Is it possible to hide icon and info in addon bar and represent the number of unblocked trackers (this is most essential info) in toolbar icon (that by default is in navigation bar and can be moved to other bars). This proposal I posted also in your forum.
Hi difabor. The option you are looking for already exists: open Ghostery options, go into advanced section and toggle the Show Ghostery in Add-on Bar option.
Works Great! Speeds up page load times significantly!
My favorite feature is the option to stop all those social buttons from loading automatically.
Nice add-on. Scans for scripts, images, malware and any other entity that is "watching" where you go and blocks them. Has a whitelist that allows sites you trust to use scripts, i.e. but even on those, you can see who is tracking you. Thank you
This is a must-have extension, because it removes so much unneeded clutter from surfing the web. Thanks to a white-list and the easily accessible disable/pause function for the whole blocking or for single sites, Ghostery is the perfect companion for any Firefox user.
My only issue - which is admittedly small - is with the navigation bar icon of Ghostery. It's truly minor, but the icon constantly changes size from one tab to another or from one website to the next. These repeated resizes drive me crazy, which is why I don't use the icon anymore. If we could get a fixed-width button (or an option to disable the number being displayed), Ghostery would deserve a full five stars.
