The best Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Actually this add-on is important, it helps to protect own personal information. Certainly Ghostery is necessary for every user.

Ghostery block feedburner by googleon Protonmail Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I was shocked and surprised at the same time!
Shocked because even in Protonmail Google puts the eyes in our mail box, even if not Google.
Admired because Ghostery picked it up and found this feed, so this app is GREAT! recommend to all users, even those pension are protected by your anti virus which is said to be impenetrable.
Here esté proof that only an anti virus is not enough.

TrackMeNot is better Rated 1 out of 5 stars

If tracking is what's bothering you and you want an addon to help you fight back the advertisers then install TrackMeNot and AdNauseam.

This addon is helping the advertisers much more than is helping you.

Greatest Rated 5 out of 5 stars

If you use the internet without this APP then you must be stupid, it is the greatest APP for privacy I know, used it for years

Difficult UI Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The UI just get worse with each release. For example, if you pause Ghostery, then it has a popup at the TOP of the UI instead of next to the pause button for you to reload the page. Becoming more focused on eye candy instead of function. Why isn't there an option to export your settings anymore?

It has opened my eyes.

Hi aubz Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I tried your addon and your right. Ghostery v7 will not work with this addon disabling javascipt. The addons Noscipt, Requestpolicy and Umatrix are all designed to block some or all of javascript especially the addon Noscipt. I emailed the tech support of the above three addons and am still waiting to find out if this is a design flaw on there part or on ghostery's part. I have been in contact with others having similar problems with addons that may remove or block parts of javascipt. There's just to many of these type addons that are keeping ghostery v7 from working which makes me wonder in the problem is in fact in ghostery v7. Ghostery v7 does not appear to effect these other addons and all the other addons work just fine with older versions of ghostery. Interesting, isn't it. I will wait and see what the tech support of the above addons have to say, but I'm now starting to wonder if I will ever be able to use new versions of ghostery again.

Ghostery problems caused by Javascript being disabled on browser start. Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I have just discovered that my problems with Ghostery may be due to the fact that I use an add-on called prefbar that enables me to disable JavaScript at will. If JavaScript is not enabled when I start Firefox Ghostery dosen't work, If I enable JavaScript in prefbar, close, then restart Firefox Ghostery works fine. This never used to happen as I have used this combination of add-ons for years. Interesting.

Ghostery a spy shop Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I have been told by the Electronic Frontier Foudation that Ghostery collects and sells data on it users. I was advised to install Privacy Badger, adding Disconnect might catch some additonal trackers; and to turn Ghostery off. I have done so.

Don't bother with Zendesk Support Continued. Rated 1 out of 5 stars

GhosteryTech support:

I have sent messages directly to the address you provided and received another blank screen from the Zendesk, same as before. It appears Ghostery support is non-existant and Zendesk is employed to intercept & deflect messages intended to go the Ghostery company and discourage people from pursuing the problem further.

Pls update

On a steady decline Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Used to be great. Now it demands personal info in exchange for features. Every update changes your settings. Sending analytical data to ghostery is enabled by default. Deciding which trackers you actually want to block is hidden in advanced settings. If you set "block all" and "block new trackers", you still end up with some trackers unblocked.

Thank you for the review!

Updates should not be changing your settings. If you could please reach out to so that we can get more information from you to investigate further we would appreciate it.

Also, blocking all trackers and blocking new trackers should not leave any trackers unblocked. If you reach out to us can you also please give an example of a tracker you have seen this behavior on?

Have a great day!
