I have used this wonderful add on, on and off for years. Recently almost every time I open a tab, or go to a website up pops the advert for MIDNIGHT! I can't seem to turn this off. WHAT IF YOU ARE NOT INTERESTED IN THIS UPGRADE? Seems the team at Ghostery figure why not irritate people after all if they use the add on they are a captive audience. It is ashamed we can't elect NOT to be bothered with this annoying advert. ISN'T That apart of why we use this add on in the first place? Uninstalling. Deserves negative 50 stars just for this issue. I would not waste the time or bandwidth to download this add on any longer. They lie about blocking ads when it's their ad that is being pushed every few moments. In fact I think I will file a complaint with Firefox, the Google Play store as they purposely mislead consumers with the claim it blocks ads.

However, this week Ghostery has suddenly stopped working on Facebook and Twitch which I now receive ads. Some ads show up on other websites as well but they are sporadic and appear but seem "broken". Hopefully, Ghostery will work on this soon! Unwanted ads are annoying! Especially a couple in a row!

Where did my last review go huh? This expansion is trash.
- by Firefox user 12343100, 5 days agoRated 3 out of 5With Privacy Badger losing its manual controls, I decided to stop using that. Gave Ghostery another try. It works most of the time, but has too many problems. It's overzealous blocking things it's not supposed to block. For instance, I get only the blurry thumbnails for many Washington Post photos unless I turn off Enhanced Ad Blocking. It even keeps me logged out of that site unless EAB is disabled. Are you kidding me??? Ghostery also blocks Disqus by default on every site. I shouldn't have to manually unblock it on every site. That's a really dumb waste of my time. In the end, I switched back to Adblock Plus. Maybe not as comprehensive, but not a pain in the neck, either.
Developer responseposted 2 days agoGhostery offers global unblocking, so our users can unblock trackers and this setting will apply to all sites visited. Reach out to email@example.com for further assistance. Thanks!
