I used this to verify stated file size info for Web pages I created. I hope it gets updated for the current version of FF.
lightweight addon @ 11kb , for firefox older-versions
oh, sorry, the last modified time is already get. the example picture misguide me.
provide the last update time?
NOTE: There are some users complaining about this plugin downloading the whole target to report the file size. This is not always the case. The website itself determines whether or not this happens depending on its http header information (the website can report the file size explicitly, or rely on the user to download the entire message body to determine the size. See section 4.4 at the following link for more details: http://www.w3.org/Protocols/rfc2616/rfc2616-sec4.html ). In other words, the add-on submitter has no control over whether or not the whole message (webpage) is retrieved or not to determine the size.
A very handy add-on. For files hosted through http, this works perfectly. A much better solution than having to go through the process of starting and canceling a download solely to determine the file size.
Handy. A necessary tool that works just fine. Some download pages don't state the remote file size, and I like to know before downloading anything really new. This extension does it.
Excellent! Latest version also shows modified date. Just what I needed.
Still waiting for 3.5 version...
Please update for FF 3.5
It looks quite useful add-on for me.
Firefox 3.5 :(
so i try to view file size of remote file and nothing happened.. I try again.. waiting waiting waiting.. after few minutes i realize i stucked without internet causer i use prepaid packet at my inet provider... try to figure out what the problem is and realize Firefox somehow download 1GB in last 5min.. I was really surpriced and realize smth strange happaned.. after few days i pay my intenet again and find out file suze I requested is 500MB.. coincidence?!? hmmm.. not sure.. so it seem to be that sometimes this plugin actually tranfer those MBs to me.. so I finaly give it up with this one.. :(
Fantastic tool for the stage of "Recommended"
Thank you mate!
Great!!! Something like this should be standard in Firefox.
Referrer links doesn't work properly; if the link refers to another file, this add-on just downloads the whole file!(you can't see the file being downloaded but though modem's data traffic LED or any other way)
i hope it will be very good as i used from firefox
Very useful addon.
Please provide more pretty UI.
Thank you, Eugene!
Yes, I'm already working on the imporved UI - I have lots of free time now, so you'll see it soon!
Excellent long-awaited add-on!
Now working with Firefox 3 and capable of displaying URL, file size and modification date. All of this data can be copied to clipboard!
Now I have all I need to make my own easy-to-use browser.
Thank you, Pavel!
A bit of appreciation is what we all are lacking for :]
Thank you, Vladislav!

works pretty well. you just right-click a link, and click "get file size" in the context menu. on one link i tried it on it simply said that no file size could be computed -- not sure why. other than that exactly as advertised
Yes, the size of some files cannot be got - that's bevause remote servers don't send them in response.
Works find for me
For me works too :]
alex, changelog plz for v1.9
what do you mean?
