i already have google toolbar installed for other things. but since i like to keep it hidden since it takes up so much space i installed this. i basically use it to be able to store bookmarks in google faster. and the ocasional random search. when i need to look at a website i search for it using a google bookmarks search engine i added to the browser. this is all i need to work with my bookmarks and i really appreciate this add on.
Installed it twice (FF 3.0), but no Google-entry in Bookmarks menu...
Thank you for GBookmarks, but why not?
- Create a folder in Gbookmark
- Store offline to speed up accessing and syncs if necessary
- Export all bookmark
good: favicon supported.
1. delay for loading.
2. double add to menu.
3. no toolbar button settings.
4. no nested label seperator
it's looks as fishing of google accaunts.
it's send some request to non-google server with unreadable POST-parameters. when i break this request with Tamper Data, it said "wrong login/password"
so, i'm uninstall it.
Works great with Firefox 3 release, Google Toolbar bookmark functionality is broken and this is a great substitute.
good one bro...helps a lot
where is it? you mention that it supports ff 3 but i don't see it.
Toda a praticidade necessária!!
Russian Language not support :-(
Theoretically a killer app. Unfortunately once I added tags via Google Notebook all my folders became empty! Needs improvement.
I lost my bookmarks when I update my Ubuntu version. I couldn't access my bookmarks with the Google Bar since then. But with this add-on, I've all my bookmarks back! I'm very happy! :-)
Excellent, handy extension that gives "regular"-like access for Google bookmarks.
It saves me a great deal of time daily.
Only two things could be better.
1) Sort the Bookmark labels in the menu (I could never figure out how to do this)
2) Handle adding multiple labels for a bookmark better - i.e. complete the entry and/or make it work properly if you put a comma in the label field.
Get Google toolbar insteasd. It does this and a whole lot more.
Why have an extension that can only do one thing when you can have an extension that can do that and more?
One less extension, one less bulk.
There are no instructions for this and I can't figure out how it's supposed to work. It installed a "GBookmarks" tab on my browser, which contains all of my bookmarks. When I go to Options and try to import nothing happens. And how do I get to this from another computer. I don't have a clue.
Your contact page isn\'t working and discussions page won\'t load, so I\'ll just write it here.Do you think you could make it more like Firefox\'s Bookmarks tool? I don\'t like that all the sub-folders I imported for FF are now on the main dropdown list. I want to be able to mouse over a category and have a list of sub-categories appear along with my bookmarks. Also, could you make some layout options, such as manually organizing the list or putting the bookmarks at the top of the list?
Shame as I have loads of subcategories :(
has anyone else had the problem that installation of this addon causes firefox to intermittently request access to ip addresses that it shouldn't. IP addresses such as 18.104.22.168 (c18-gdl-xw-lb.cnet.com), 22.214.171.124(eo-in-f103.google.com), 126.96.36.199 (epriority.com). Firefox would request these connections even when I wasn't surfing (but Firefox was loaded of course). Once I unstalled this add-on, the behavior stopped.
It worked but I found "https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2453" the better button. Thanks anyway!
This extension is great, except that I have a TON of tags, and it makes navigating the menu, rather difficult. It would be great if you could select a handful of tags to show, instead of all of them.
Actually this plug in is very good the only problem is when you are using more than one dictionary, I've 4 dictionaries and once I install Firefox Google Bookmarks I wasn't able any more to choose which dictionary use.
If you could fix this bug I would really appreciate because I think this add on is awesome.
