Why was FXChromeMods created?
I love Firefox but I love Google Chrome's appearance. I stumbled across FXChrome by dkgo and fell in love with it.
I then discovered the UserStyle modifications made by the author for this theme and it just improved the appearance so much more. However downloading and installing Stylish and then selecting the modifications was a painful process. Stylish is also a very performance intensive addon, there was a very noticeable decrease in startup and shutdown speeds of my browser.
What's next for FXChromeMods
Continual support for all future custom modifications released by the FXChrome team.
The most important plan I have is to decrease the size of the addon. I will abandon the Protoype and Scriptaculous libraries and rely on CSS3 instead. This will not only drastically reduce the addon size, but the animations will be much smoother.
A more Chrome-like icon picker is planned. It will also feature the ability to use your own local and online images for the custom application button.
I am learning how to add other languages to Jetpack addons and will do so as soon as I learn how.
