Love the program. Works as promised. Feature suggestion: enable keyboard navigation shortcuts (e.g., Alt-B opens bookmarks, Alt-T opens tools menu) ... just like Opera, Word and other programs when they're in full-screen mode. Thx.
I plan to use this with certain web based apps that will stay open on my desktop at all times, and this will be very good for that. If I may, a couple nice additions would be the following: automatically switching to fullerscreen for certain websites, somehow adding the ability to start firefox in fullerscreen, and possibly allowing fullerscreen in a window which doesn't cover the entire screen (that way you could have a couple web based applications showing on the desktop at all times.)
work great... leave a very clean screen :)
An interesting add-on, but it makes the scroll bar disappear when it is installed. There is no way to get it to stay on by itself when using the other features of the add-on.
Mandriva Linux Spring 2007 Free
Does exactly what it should: A real presentation mode for Firefox.
This is a very nice add-on. The only thing I really lack in it, as some other people already remarked as well, is the possibility to stop the status bar from showing altogether. Hopefully this will be included in a future release.
Keep up the good work!
this has so much potential to be great, to see the fullscreen is really good but there are still too many bugs and glitches at the moment for everyday, happy use. As others have mentioned to have the vertical scrollbar disappear as part of the fullscreen but still keep mousescroll would be number one issue, and then sort out some of the twitches and bugs. i'd help if i could but i dont know anything about programming :) i'll keep my eye on this extension and hopefully it'll be perfect soon, without the current problems i'd rate this a 10
This is just what I was looking for but please make an option to never show the status bar...very annoying.
Thanks for your hard work
love it, but i don\'t like that when hovering the mouse at the search or tab bars, the page shifts. I like searching while i\'m reading but it\'s hard when the page is shifting. also, using search or the side scroll bar can sometimes be tricky, as the screen will toggle rapidly between fuller and not fuller, making it hard to use the mouse. i usually just F11 out of it while i search or scroll to the side, which is kind of a pain.
... that a few others have: when I go to the options menu and enable the bookmarks/menu bars to show, then leave the options menu, they revert to their default settings.
Still, it's nice to have all that real estate freed up.
Does exactly what you expect it to do! Could use an option to disable the mouse over option that brings up the toolbar. Otherwise, an excellent add-on!
this is very good
for those who are annoyed about the bottom thing
just go to tools -> add ons -> extensions -> and select options for the fuller screen
there just change the threshold for edge detection from 5 to 1...or if u want the bottom bar but want more delay, just reduce status bar persistency
just click ok and ur good to go
again...this is a great add-on
A useful addon and one of the first I install.
Unfortunately it could be much better if the developer didn't ignore the many minor bugs and feature requests listed in the discussions for it.
Love this one! Just a bit annoying that the lower bar pops up every time you rest your mouse over a link
I like it, but it feels like a beta version. To much bugs.
It really needs more configuration though. Here's how I'd love to run it:
* Navigation and Bookmarks Toolbar autohiding at the top
* Tabs always displayed at the bottom
* Status bar never displayed
It would also be nice to have separate mouse detection areas at the top and bottom and only show the items in that area.
BTW I've found that if you change the options through the right-click menu in the status bar icon while in fuller screen mode, they seem to stick (at least for that firefox session).
Job Well Done
Great idea, good work.
As other reviewers have pointed out, the changes you make in 'Options' don't stick.
That can be annoying if you want to access your bookmarks toolbar -- you have to exit fullscreen mode to do it. (Considering the buttons at the top are hidden unless you hover your mouse up there, there's no real reason not to have all your normal buttons up there - they're not taking up any screen space.)
Otherwise, it's a great, simple extension, especially if you like watching online videos.
The Tabs bar needs to be visible even in fullscreen mode. It irritates me to have it pop up and down when I want to switch tabs, which is constantly.
I'm excited about this addon can do but for some reason, when I go to the options and select the toobars that I want to appear, it doesn't get saved. So in essence, I'm only getting the default options when in fullerscreen.
You need to fix multi monitor support where the monitors are different sizes. If the secondary screen is bigger than the primary, the edge detection triggers at the smaller boundary on the larger screen and makes it unusable.
As a heavy user of full screen, who used to always manually hide all the menu bars, this is wonderful. I'd like to second the previous commenter about not shifting the screen, but other than that it's great.
As mentioned by previous reviewer, the tool bar options only save navigation tool bar, not bookmark tool bar. Also, one suggestion that I would like to make is: when tool bars are shown by the mouse cursor, the screen shifted up to show the top of the screen below the tool bars. This is a little bit distracting when you go from one mode to the other. If you want to see the tool bars, you'll probably don't care if the tool bars are on top and hide the top part of the screen, it's more important for the screen to remain static.
I've found that when I set it to show anything but the navigation bar in preferences--no matter what I set--it will default to the nav bar. Example--I set it to show the nav bar and the bookmarks bar in fuller screen. But when I moved my cursor to the screen edge I only saw the nav bar. And, in preferences my selections weren't saved--it still said just nav bar.
