Extension Metadata

FrostCandy's PassBank is a password bank that does not store your password in a database or on the cloud. There is nothing for a hacker to hack.
Like with other passbanks you only need to remember your Master Password that you never write down anywhere. The difference with FCPB is you do not need to copy your password database between computers or store it on the cloud. When you type your Master Password in FCPB on a given website/resource, it generates a specific password based off that resource and your Master passwrod unique to that resource.
Your secure password is created from the following criteria:
1) Your Master Password - A simple password you can remember in your head
2) The Resource - This is auto-completed for you based on the site you are on, click the URL to change it yourself.
3) Len - The length you want your password to be, default 16
4) Algo - The Algorithm to use, 1 - 100
5) Aa1@ - Click to toggle passwords with or without symbols.

NOTE: Click the resource at the top if you want to change the URL box.
v0.0.2.2 You'll notice two new blue buttons on the left of the resource and master password field.
1)The resource simplification button will attempt to take a long domain like, "account.google.com" and turn that into just "google". If you don't understand why passbank doesn't work when you generate a password with account.google.com, and then try to login with login.google.com as your resource, you should use this button so your generated password works across the entire google domain.
2) The Master Password simplification button. It's a little scary, but most banks and many websites whitelist the special characters you can use to set up your password. Passbank can't tell what any particular website will require and often creates high entropy password that your bank won't allow. Use this button to select a single special character of your choosing and it will modify your generated password only using that special character. Click [clear] if you want to get the default generated password back.

As long as your Resource, Master Password, Length, Algo and Aa1@ match what you entered before, it will create the same generated password.
