  • It's very good. It would be even better if two features could be added. The ability to quickly change proxies with a single click on the toolbar button. Perhaps left clicking or middle clicking there would cycle through the proxies. A keyboard shortcut would be a bonus.

Another feature which was alluded to by Tristan Gallet is the ability to add exceptions i.e. a blacklist of IPs that are not proxied. This is offered in the default firefox implementation of proxying too. For example the ability to configure it so that connections to 127.0.0.1 or your router IP address are not proxied.

Apart from that it's great. Thanks for rewriting it for FF Quantum!
  • Fa quanto detto. Mi sono copiati alcuni Proxy server da proxy-list.org e tutto funziona a meraviglia.
  • When will it add the localization support?
  • Is there an option to turn off the log?
    有没有一个选项能关掉log?

Hi, this is a great idea. We will add it to next release, 5.1.10.
  • hhhhhhuhfdjfgd
  • Could you implement the exceptions (aka no proxy for ) ? It's very important, for example with keepass because the plugin kee use localhost and is blocked by foxyproxy, i need to disable foxyproxy and enable it after. Works with Firefox 57, simple, good product.

    Developer response

    Which exceptions do you mean?
  • Works perfectly, unlike the previous proxy switcher addon I used which doesn't support Firefox 57. Thanks for taking the time to update it.
  • Ulr pattern matching with foxyproxy standard is very usefull. Thanks a lot ..
  • It works fine and is filled with optional features that probably I never use, like emptying cache when the proxy is switched. (Does that mean if I accidentally click on its icon, my cache would be gone?)

But why are some basics are neglected? The name of the default profile cannot be changed. (Why should there be a mandatory profile anyway?) And the icon in the context menu is misplaced.
  • Does not work with latest version of Thunderbird.

    Developer response

We're aware of that and are waiting for Mozilla to accept our Thunderbird patch which fixes the problem.
  • Unable to safely use with TOR. You need to be able to change the Socks port to a separate port from the rest to properly use TOR and a web proxy.
  • FoxyProxy is great until it keeps crashing in the newer Seamonkey builds (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; rv:41.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/41.0 SeaMonkey/2.38a1)

It seems to me like it's time to find another proxy addon. Thanks for the great thing for all these years though

    Developer response

We will investigate this issue asap
  • Not paying = not working. Therefore, worst proxy of them all.

    Developer response

You do not need to pay anything to use the add-on. You can buy proxy/vpn service from us, but you do not need to in order to use the add-on.
  • All the previous "Positive" reviews (of it working at all) must be friends, I will not pay for something which hasn't proven itself to me. How can you expect someone to donate or even subscribe when your "Add-on" doesn't even work in "Trial" mode or was it the "Default" was only intended to frustrate people into buying into a subscription. Firefox 27.0.1
  • I clearly remember using this back in the old days. Now when the need for a new proxy ad don appeared, this was the first thing that came to my mind.
  • I don't know why I let it go on for months, but Firefox refused to use my saved proxy settings, even after disabling all add-ons, I did a "reset", I even reinstalled!! Strangely every single time I opened firefox I had to open the proxy settings page and then close it - then viola, it would magically work. But it's a pain to open proxy settings every time you start your browser!!

Along comes FoxyProxy Basic to the rescue. Took 5 seconds to configure and now firefox actually uses the proxy settings appropriately.
  • Foxyproxy is the best addon in its category. Every time I need a fully capable proxy, I always come to use FoxyProxy. Thanks for the great tool.
  • I had been using the FoxyProxy Basic 3.1 flawlessly until my Firefox updated to version 17. Since then, I keep getting the "Exception while determining which host to use for proxying".

    Developer response

Mmmm... Could you open a thread in our forum (http://forums.getfoxyproxy.org) and provide further details (type of proxy settings etc.) in order to help us fixing your issue? Right now, I am not able to reproduce it. Or, if you don't want that, write an email to me (georg[@]getfoxyproxy[.]org (without the brackets)) and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks!
  • This shit is amazing. I was at my school because they block the internet, so I downloaded foxy proxy and then... I was on Facebook, I was on YouTube, I was blasting music out loud, and having a party. I was on Facebook talking to friends telling them to come to the library. All the ladies wanted to know my secrets, they all wanted me. I recommend this if you are at a place that blocks internet. THIS WILL HAPPEN.

But, no really. Foxy Proxy is a very good proxy and I recommend it for schools, public places, libraries, ect. All it takes is one simple install and if you don't like it all you have to do is get rid of it!

    Developer response

I don't think I could ask for a better review than this. Thanks!
  • Foxy Proxy helps me a lot when im using my lapyy at different networks with different proxies. Thank you team for this add-on
  • 下载下来试试
  • It's a fine proxy-switcher.. until you need exceptions. Once you need to enter a proxy-exception you're screwed. I've searched and searched but it's just not there.. too bad, I would have given it 5 stars if it had this..
  • Very Good. I'm happy with the colour of version 1.8.1.
  • Does what it says, Without all the complicated stuff.
