Position fixed Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Would be a whole lot better if the rulers were set as position:fixed so they stayed on screen as I scroll down a page. Please implement.

I thought it was broken but i just had the add-on bar hidden, made me realize how much I'd miss this plugin!

Author abandoned Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The author's site is gone, there are no docs and this does not work in FF11.

Just hangs until firefox interrupts it.

Good addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In my opinion, need option to place ruler in exact position. And make "options" box smaller by hiding design features.

The concept is Nice. But conflicts are developing with other addons!!!.
The Developer should test it out with other Java Addons

I think it's really fantastic this add-on.

Nice idea, needs Firefox 5 workability Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Nice idea, needs Firefox 5 workability.
Works well for the specific feature set it arrives with.
Going to become suddenly useless in Firefox 5.

I removed it from Firefox 4 on XP Pro. It may have been conflicting with something, but the rulers wouldn't move predictably with the cursor. I am also trying it out on a MacBook Pro with Firefox 4. It takes a long time to load and sometimes gives me an unresponsive script error. I will probably delete it from the Mac too.

Could use a bit more Rated 3 out of 5 stars

This is a nice layout tool, but I'd like something a bit more precise. Here are some features I'd love to see in future versions of this add-on:
1. set guides by input field. I.E. select a guide you've dragged out and edit it's position via input field for exact X or Y coordinates. This will really help designers and developers attempting to pixel perfect match an existing guide structure from a .PSD file. The options panel XY locator for the mouse is not terribly accurate for this purpose.

2. a pop up toot tip that measures the distance between two guides on the same axis. similarly a pop-up that gives the exact position of the currently hovered guide.

3. the ability to pull guide from fixed rulers after scrolling. That would really improve the overall UI.

4. Ruler detail flexibility based on user Zoom-level. Have the #foxguide_pullFromLeft and #foxguide_pullFromTop swap background images based on the user style sheet zoom level to show more detail the way that Photoshop does.

Although it's a bit limiting at the moment, however FoxGuide has some amazing potential for developers and designers alike! Keep up the good work guys I look forward to the next update.

Thanks tmarradesign. I really appreciate your feedback for the add-on. I'd definitely work on them one by one and release them ASAP. I think #1 , #3 are easy ones and I'll take them down first.

Nice Tool Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Simple are works real good. I had a bug in mine where I could only drag the horizontal marker lines down if the screen was scrolled all the way to the top. If not it would show the mouse icon change to allow me to drag a new marker line. Other than that the addon is great!

show x,y position Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Would be fine if its show the guides x,y position with small rectangle like iconfactory xScope application guide.

I just installed but both option are showing disabled in Right Click Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Is it better than Web Developer Toolbar > Miscellaneous > Display Line Guides ?

I just installed but both option are showing disabled in Right Click > FoxGuide

I'm on Windows 7 and using Firefox 3.6.12 and I also have "Web Developer Toolbar" installed.

Don't know how to use FoxGuide?

You can switch on the addon by clicking a purple icon at the right corner.

Good, but interferes with Web Developer Rated 2 out of 5 stars

Seems to do what it advertises, but unfortunately it interferes with the Web Developer extension, so I had to disable it.

Just what I was looking for Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works just as expected, a great tool for getting the designs pixel perfect no more straining my eyes to look at the 1px differences.
Great stuff! Recommend for any designer/developer.

Its pretty cool addon, the way it matches the photoshop guides is awesome. Restoring the guides back is the best features.

This is so far the best matching implementation of photoshop guides, very useful for me as a UI designer, good for web development and designing. Good Job.
