posted 5 years agoFirst of all, thanks for writing a detailed explanation of your issue. What you are experiencing is bad wording of the firefox options. Indexeddb is correctly cleared, but some metadata is leftover. This metadata can not be read by the website. You can read a detailed explanation here: https://github.com/Lusito/forget-me-not/issues/175 .
Also, keep in mind, that indexeddb can not be cleared when leaving a site. Only on startup or manually. I am working with mozilla on a solution for this.

Since using this software, I no longer get "personalized" ads and other BS indicating I am being tracked across sites. For those of you who claim it doesn't work, delete all your cookies, once, through the Firefox interface for managing data. From that time on, you'll see that your cookies for a site will stay active until you close the tab(s) for that site. After closing the tab(s), depending on how you set it up, Forget Me Not will delete the cookies for that site after a delay, or immediately. You will see that you cookie list consists only of those you allow.

Essential on mobile, to delete all cookies apart from selected sites. I integrated it to my custom addon collection
https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/collections/17446767/Fenix-Addons/
it works pretty great! The UI is usable although a little small, and Addons are able to modify cookies and site data on Firefox Mobile.
A mobile interface with bigger buttons would be great.
I will ask the developers to add the addon among others to the official list. - Rated 5 out of 5by av, a year ago

- Rated 1 out of 5by HKJunkie, a year agoProblem is - it does not delete any cookies. After enabling on-leaving for the domain, and closing the tab. And exiting the browser. And again closing the tab. The cookies, per Mozilla, all 10 of them from the domain are STILL THERE. Makes this useless.
