Does not work above Firefox 3.5 Rated 1 out of 5 stars

This add-on doesn't work above Firefox 3.5. On his site, Phil says Flickrfox is four years old now and he's no developing it any further. So anyone with 3.5 above will find it's of no use.

5 stars if you have Firefox 3.5 or older.

Probably one of my most used add-ons. The left-hand sidebar is a fantastic convenience for keeping up on your contacts & favorite groups. Beats the hell outta having to page through your contacts page.

But w/ the release of Firefox 3.6, the add-on freezes the browser. Thus rendering Flickrfox useless.

Hopefully Phil will come up w/ a fix soon. Already feeling out of touch w/ my contacts list & it's only been a few days.

Excellent tool which is very easy to use or not use- simply click View Sidebar and there it is. I love it for following my contacts' new photos. Much easier than going to the contacts page in Flickr. Thanks Phil!

Fun but flawed Rated 3 out of 5 stars

It's a fun diversion to browse through photos in the sidebar. But here's the problem. Let's say I'm browsing through the "Interesting" category and I'm on the 20th page of thumbs. After some period of inactivity the addon resets itself back to page 1. Now, because the thumbs are in a set sequence and not random, to get back to seeing new thumbs I have to flip through 20 pages again. Maybe you can give an option to randomize the thumbs?

Awesome- I use FlickrFox daily at the office to browse Flickr in the slim sidebar while other pages load. To any nosy coworkers who glance at my screen it looks like I'm working hard, not aimlessly procrastinating with flickr!

If you're logged in it also shows new content from your personal pools/groups, which is invaluable. Saves a TON of time compared to loading the full pool galleries just to see if there's anything worthwhile.

Thanks so much for this extension, I wouldn't want to browse without it!

new version soon? Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is as good as it sounds. Because I've warmed up to the del.icio.us side bar, I had no problem seeing how useful this add-on can be for a flickr search (since there isn't one for the search engine quick search bar). The only downside to this side bar Flickr thumbnail search is the discrepancy between it's search and an actual flickr search from the site. They do bring up different hits for some reason.

It would be nice to not only have them work the same way, but also to have the search options of the Flickr page embedded in this add-on.

Aside from this, great add-on!
