You are awesome Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Just what I was looking for, something to stop video autoplay! Great extension so far.

Beautiful Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This one just works perfect. Blocks flash and HTML5 videos, and incorporates one click to play, which is much more convenient than the one from Firefox which required too many clicks.

The best anti-autoplay addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I tested many anti-autoplay addons, but this one is the best.
Every other addon has some issues with certain websites, but this one so far is working everywhere.
If some sites is not working correctly (like gazeta.pl websites) - enable "proactive" blocking will resolve issue.

Well done- and working in PaleMoon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I tested it out and it really does work on both stinky Flash and HTML5 on a bunch of sites.

I do request that the author maintain PM support and eventually switch to writing for PM- a superior browser to Failfox.

Very good Rated 5 out of 5 stars

But my preference to allow or block it's all remove when i clean with Ccleaner and the case " preference " in Firefox is check. Then i don't clear " preference site to Firefox " in Ccleaner.
Sorry for my English i'm a french canadian ! Thank !

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.4.1).

You are correct

Both FlashStopper sites permissions & proactive blocking are using FF general permissions mechanism (like popup, cookies etc) so clearing history for a time period will clean the FS permissions added in that period unless you uncheck "Sites Preferences"...

Nice add on Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add on does what it claims so far, those annoying ads that run while I'm trying to read or watch something else are now stopped, just a thumbnail is shown which is just fine with me, if I CHOOSE to watch it, I can, thanks!

This is the best addon I've ever installed Rated 5 out of 5 stars

It works flawlessly and it stops those assholes at CNN from autoplaying every single freakin video that appears on the page of a story I'm trying to read. Genius. Yochaim you rule man!

FF 24.5.0 + 1.4.1 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

In general - it is working properly. Tnx.

But there are exceptions. For example: http://ymadam.ru/zhivye-kartinki.html

Works great for preventing video autoplay on other sites! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

More and more videos keep autoplaying as I surf the web. This add-on is excellent. What's even great is that I was able to whitelist YouTube so that videos DO autoplay there, but not anywhere else--particularly with Facebook & Yahoo. Thanks for a working add-on!

Stopped Working For Me Rated 3 out of 5 stars

I was thrilled with this on the first day I found it but, today it just stopped working. I checked the settings and it should be working but all the videos auto-play just as before. I even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but... it's dead. :(

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.0).

I'll need more details to help you...

please contact me on the support site and let me know the FF version and the FS versions you are using. is it working on youtube? problem with other sites? also try installing on a new profile and check the results...

Actually works!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on is awesome. It's the only addon of this type that ACTUALLY WORKS anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This is excellent, but looses config after I „clear recent history”. Also in proactive blocking window the default action for ENTER key is „allow” — should be „block”

FS uses FF permissions mechanism for storing & showing sites prefs...

this means that if you got Site Preferences checked in clear history you'll clear also the proactive blocking entered in that period. I'll look into changing the permissions dlg default action...

thanks

Perfect for Youtube HTML5, doesn't seem to work for generic flash Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Stops video and preloading in Youtube, but looks like I'll need another blocker only for flash itself

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.9).

Please see the IMPORTANT NOTICE on the details page...

While there are many good flash&html5 video blocking add-ons (for all browser), this add-on is trying to stop autoplay without compromising the site look, which is more difficult to achieve (you can compare it on the supported sites). if you have unsupported site you want stopped please contact me on the support site...

The only one that works Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Keep it up!!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Tired flashblock & flash control both had problems especially flash control. This ones works perfect. Exactly what many need. Keep it up and hope you even improve it.

very good addon Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I finally found an addon that stops autoplay correctly. The main thing that the developer has not abandoned it in the future.

Make latest nightly crasy Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hello,

thank for this usefull addon but with latest nighly of firefox-dev-edition on Ubuntu (41.0a2 (2015-08-08)) it makes my profile like it was reset : no bookmarks, no history, etc ...
after disabling Flashstopper, everything returns ok.

sorry to post bug here, I couldn't find where to report it.

edit: Thanks ! It's working now with e10s version :)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.6).

The support site is listed on the side of the main add-on page...

the current official FlashStopper version (1.2.6) is not multi-process compatible (i.e multi process nightly is enabled in Options). you can try using the last e10s version listed on the Versions page, but notice this is a work in progress...
