Boo to subscriptions Rated 2 out of 5 stars

For the narrow range of users out there who are professional/full-time flash developers this addon does boast an impressive set of features(although I wasn't able to try almost any of them), however if you'd only use it rarely from time to time, then don't waste your time.

This extension sounded really neat. So neat that I went through the trouble of installing the debug version of flash and everything, then I struggled a bit to figure out how to even use the extension only to find out that I missed the part in the description that it's a pay extension. This is one of the first pay extensions I've seen so I guess I can be excused for not realizing it. But it's not just a one time fee. You have to pay $35 a year forever for as long as you use it. I find this extremely excessive as I do not understand how it could possibly require enough constant work and maintenance every year to justify a subscription. Will the price be reduced in the future if the developer doesn't work on it as often? I don't see why they should be paid constantly if they're not constantly working on it.

I suppose for the narrow range of users who are full-time flash developers who could get an extreme amount of use out of this addon, perhaps they might consider it worth the cost. The feature list is pretty impressive to me, and I don't know if there's any other software that does similar stuff, but it's just not worth the cost to me for my purposes.

Great addon, but... will this ever be compatible with firebug lite? Normal firebug is literally the biggest most speed consuming addon I have ever installed, and I have 99 extensions right now. Firebug lite is also compatible with other browsers, and so lite it takes less speed that most ANY of my addons, and with Custom Buttons addon I can put it in my toolbars. Please implement Firebug lite, pleeease.

Question. Do you think converting this to a standalone extension would be a good idea?
