It doesn't appear to be updated Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I've used this for years. Back with Firefox 3, it worked wonders. But as the versions increased, the zoom factor decreased. With version 29 of Firefox, there's is hardly any zoom at all. It's not enough to see any more of the title on the tabs.

Originally worked great, but just realized its was this extension that was causing the close tab X to not show so had to disable. Possibly would go away if I reloaded but now I am gun shy as I HATE wasting time dinking around with this type of thing.

Thanks for the review, but you seem to have missed the description of the extension where I wrote: "Close button moved to right". This extension is a GUI experiment and with the close buttons left in place it simply seemed unusable (having to click a moving target). All the best, Laszlo.

to it's brilliance (and a bug) Rated 5 out of 5 stars

fisheye tabs has been essential to me for yonks, maximising visibility, making best use of space. otherwise i'd have to have two or three lines of tabs, group them, or have to scroll them with extra buttons, but this addon means i just have to wave the pointer in a tab's general direction and the answer is revealed! as lkozma's aparrent only addon, it's lasted well and for good reason, it's a perfect implementation of a perfect display optimisation method.

ok so that's my point, i like alot of space and no waste. so i installed 'hide caption titlebar plus' which basically gets rid of the actual window top (it puts the min/max/close by the throbber), moving everything up 16-20 pixels, ace! but fish eye tabs doesn't know this so it stretches the tabs more when i move _under_ the tabs and starts to shrink them again when i move up to tab level.

i don't expect an update because since it's origin in '07 it was only briefly developed in '09. still i would rather use it like that than go without it, just have to keep to under 128 tabs... thanks lászló kozma!

I like this add-on, but it doesn't support Firefox 3 though :(

I've had this installed for years despite it never really worked, the fisheyetab purpose only applied to the first tab in the row when mouse hover and never doing anything on any of the other tabs.

Needs more options.

Right now this addon is pretty inconvenient when you're using it along with other tab-addons.

I don't want a full tabbar, all the time. That's just annoying.

And you should be able to change the parameters of how close to the tabbar you should be for it to take effect.

As it is right now - I'm uninstalling.

Great idea, not the best implementation. I would use it if it did not remove the close tab button from the individual tabs. On a laptop here with no middle mouse button.

I missed the point...

Thanks for the effort, but for me the tooltip which appears when the mouse pointer is over the tab is sufficient...

The tooltip yet "zooms" the tab's title...

Would be much better if it would zoom *only* when the tab labels don't fit to the tabs and only the amount required to see the label.

At the moment it often zooms "just for the fun of it" which is quite annoying.

Need to apply to pages. Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Do you have this for webpages? To zoom in on sections that you want to see closer?

Works well---just as described---with Firefox 3.5 and Mac Os X 10.5.7. Thanks for a simple effective solution.

Most Awesome Firefox Add On Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I usually have 20 to 30 or more tabs open at once, this Add On is highly functional and should be in the standard Firefox build.

Works flawlessly with the latest Firefox 3.5 build.

Animation speed is controlled by the user, simply don't mouse over so fast and it is all good!

Thanks to Garbonzo for the center wheel click function to close tabs, as I just updated to Firefox 3.5 and Tab X isn't updated yet, but it may be irrelevant now!

Nice add-on. I agree with some other comments about the animation... And Note to "OrangeSpoon", try the wheel (center) button click on tabs to close them... beats the heck out of having the little "X" anyway.. (IMO of course).

works well thanks :)

but my close icon on each tab disappears when i enable fisheye so i wont be able to use it

maybe the animation could be just a little slower as well

great idea!

Awesome idea but the animation was just a little too jerky for me to enjoy it.

I like it but when I close tabs, some of them remain small and do not return to normal size.

quite good, handy and useful but it doesn't compatible with FaviconizeTab : https://addons.mozilla.org/zh-TW/firefox/addon/3780
that's a pity

damn!

i take almost ALL of it back after noticing ROVR138's comment about "nightly tester tools".

disabled NTT and whattya know? fisheye tabs work as advertised.....i cry at the thought of how long this conflict could have been fixed for me :(

i'm liking the action, but unfortunately i can't access the "options" button of the extension (grayed out) to see if i can tweak the erratic movement of the tabs and anything else i may be able to tweak.

no error in error console, clearly a conflict with NTT extension, although which extension is more responsible??

so any chance of an update for 3.2 trunk builds ?
