Excellent add-on Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Tried more than 5 add-ons to customize a window title, only this one works. Good job. This user has a previous review of this add-on.

Working as a charm, and I can now give my Firefox window the name of the current tab group
Has FireTitle been updated to be compatible with version 46.0.1? Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I need this function, but see a user review from March 2016 that it stopped working in version 45.0. I had to put in a review rating, but really don't have any experience!
Should be a Fx feature Rated 5 out of 5 stars
A must have for those who like me keep open a lot of tabs related to different subjects (work, home, hollidays, etc.)
An improvement could be to change the color of window title also
Can you make it so we can increment a number in the title? Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Hello, excellent addon, I really appreciate your work.
Is it possible to increment numbers in the title for each new tab/window?
I would love to be able to set the title for the first window opened in Firefox to 1, then the next window/tab (preferably have the option of either/or so people can choose what they want) named 2, the third 3, and so forth.
Something like 1++ would be so the next tab/window is 2, then 3, then 4, etc.
I've been trying to find a way to do that with things like Greasemonkey and other addons, but can't seem to figure it out.
If you could add that functionality, I would be forever grateful!
Stopped working on Firefox 45.0 in Ubuntu Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I had this super awesome Add-ons working on Firefox 44.0 but as soon as I upgraded to 45.0 figured out that using "g" flag will break this addon, I think this is due to removal of tab groups in new firefox
Excellent for heavy users Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Perfect add-on if you use multiple Windows of Firefox. Each one can be named to be recongnized easier.
Changing the icon symbol (or its color) would be even greater, but maybe OS-specific and more difficult to implement.
Thank you and keep on with the good work!
Extremely useful and well-implemented Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I use this because I want to find specific windows with a macro; but it would be useful for anyone who likes to keep different things going in different windows. This makes it very easy to find the one you want - even easier than Tab Groups. It has very nice options that give a great deal of control over the naming.

Very Cool addon, very useful.
Unfortunately It does not work at all with the tab preview addon I really like Tab Popup 1.2.3

This is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you so much!
Excellent plugin Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This plugin is really helpful.I usually browse with hundreds of tabs open, sorted in 6-7 windows by subject. This plugin makes my browsing easier. Also, I might have noticed a small bug. When I use the [text] option in the title pattern but enter no text, my browser hangs. I'm using Firefox 23.0 in Ubuntu. Thanks, guys, for writing this cool plugin! Это дополнение не полностью удаляется, что нарушает работу Firefox 24.0 (Win8x64). Пришлось удалять вручную через about:config (firetitle). This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.4-1.1-signed.1-signed.1-signed).
Feature request: Number of tabs in window Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I love this add-on. I have alt+w on rename tab. (And alt+q on view all tabs.) The only deficiency is that it doesn't remember window names after restarting.
Oh.. one more thing! Feature request. I would really, really, really like a 'pattern element' for number of tabs in a window.

Indispensable and wonderful when it works, but .5.4-1 does not work for me, nor did .5.3-5 (see my review below). Same problem--I fill in the name I want, hit enter or click the apparently misnamed (and very confusing) 'cancel' button which is to be used instead of 'apply' as there is no 'apply,' and see no change. I cannot title any windows, either ones opened by a restart or ones I open from that/those. I shall stick with FireTitle 0.5.2-2, which works well. But I dread the day I must update to a newer version of Firefox (12.0 for now) and am forced to do without a working FireTitle, as Firefox's windows shuffle around like mad hornets on my PC. 3 stars--an average of 5 stars for the working FireTitle 0.5.2-2 and 1 star for the last 2 versions, which don't work for me.This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.4-1.1-signed.1-signed.1-signed). Hehe, yes, there seems to be an incompatibility problem with some (not that) old Firefox versions. I'm afraid I released this new version too early and deserve the criticism :)I'll fix that in the next release. Meanwhile, you can still use an earlier version of Firetitle (see the full list of versions of the add-on).
Indispensable Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Been looking for this for a while. Window titles getting saved between sessions is awesome. So far have found one incompatibility: when switching to tabs that have been unloaded via UnloadTab, that tab makes window title not respect FireTitle's setting. Switching focus to some other "live" tab and back restores order.
Not working Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I can confim the same thing as Sandlerf, on firefox 10 firetitle 0.5.4-1 does not work, but on firefox 16 it does. On the older version of FF, It does not apply changes as they are typed, and closing the window does not apply changes. Downgrading to the previous version works. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.4-1.1-signed.1-signed.1-signed).
Great - and room for growth Rated 5 out of 5 stars
My two favorite extensions are FireTitle and Tab Mix Plus (TMP). It's great to have FireTitle to again be current -- I immediately started using it again a couple of months ago when it became compatible with the current version of Firefox.
While I appreciate all the work that has gone into this extension, I have a couple of minor nits and a request.
My 100% would be for you to coordinate with the TMP developers so that the TITLE of EACH window be saved with the TMP session, and then RESTORED when the TMP session is restored. Not having to go back and re-title each window after Firefox is restarted would be a tremendous time saver; I can't imagine this is too hard.
The current situation is that when a TMP session is restored, EACH window is temporarily assigned the SAME title as one of the windows from the last session. To add to the confusion, once one of those windows has been explicitly assigned a name with FireTitle, EVERY OTHER window will temporarily adopt the same name, until it also is explicitly given a FireTitle title directly. This is confusing. It would be far better to leave an untouched window title-less.
Similarly, when new window is created, it adopts the name of the last window which was Titled (not necessarily derived from the window it was created from). This is confusing. It would be much better to have its title be blank or to be "untitled - ."
I typically have 10 windows with a total of 40-70 tabs open. I could never manage that and be as productive without this extension, so thank you so much for keeping it current!
Thanks for your review Jonathan,
I contacted the TMP devs, so I'm sure we'll find a way to get our add-ons compatible.
And about the other problems you told me about, are you using the 0.5.3-5 version ? (https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/firetitle/versions/?page=1#version-0.5.3-5)
This last version is supposed to fix the "strange behavior" of the previous one (but still won't be compatible with TMP)
finally !!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Was awaiting the extension and am very pleased to haev it working again.
Thanks a lot for your work !
