Now the man behind this addon seems to fixed the upload server function. Therefore I give it 4/5 and hope the servers becomes more reliable in the future. This addon works fast and it saves you several steps in the process when you going to upload a screenshot. With this app you can both : 1. take a screenshot 2. edit screenshot 3. upload it to its own place on a server (without the need to register or log in!) - fast, timesaving, great!

Nice tool.

amazing add on. there is just one problem, it would not work with "right to left" type writing if you want to write texts in your "right to left" language

FireShot is an awesome extension I've found it extremely useful when creating user documentation for new features I add when doing web development.

I only wish it worked in Linux and OSX as well..

I see myself buying several Pro licenses if it eventually does work on other OS's!

Too much nag Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It is good working add-on (better than the other capture-addon I tried, mainly cause fireshot also captures swf-content), but the numerous menu entries about "pro version", registration, IE integration etc etc are VERY VERY annoying. I edited fsoverlay.xul to get rid of all that nag.

I wished there was ONE free version without all that stuff and ONE OPTIONAL pro-version...

As for me, I have no requirement for the pro-feature, as I do all these jobs in Photoshop... After capturing to clipboard, Fireshot has done the job for me...

The statusbar integration in 0.55 also needs a better design. Ahhh, that width... Much too much :( It should be done design with one status-bar icon and right-click menu (as in AdblockPro, Greasemonkey, Flagfox.............)

A great Add-On! I do a lot of Medical Research and a capture programme is an important tool for me. I have tried a lot of capture programmes inside and outside the browser and even in 'simple mode' FireShot rates at the top. I am totally amazed at those who grumble about FireShot - never any glitches; does what is promised; feature rich; no conflicts; AND IT'S FREE!! Of course, I keep my computer clean and running sweet - some of the complaints are just rediculous and unjustified.

THANK YOU 'susbox' for this great Add-On and for the FREE 30 day trial of the 'Pro' version option (simple does all I need).

Highly recommended from a high end, capture programme user.

Thanks

This is exactly how ideal review should look like :)

The functionality is rich and very useful, but I am disappointed of the aggressive way the Pro version is "promoted". Also it forgets my preferences with each upgrade, so I am looking for a replacement.

It should not forget

But anyway, try finding something similar and free.

Fire Shot Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love my Fire Shot! I can't be without it. I am a theme designer and. for me, Fire Shot is a must have add on. I absolutely love it. For awhile I was opening my screen shots in Windows Paint
because Windows Picture and Fax viewer did not give me a good enough view of my themes. I have just discovered that it's even better in the Fire Shot editor and it opens and saves much quicker that way too.

Thanks a million. Big Hugz to whoever created
this beauty!

Assez complet, comme tous les extensions du même genre, quelques erreur lors de la capture de fichier flash, mais beaucoup plus d'options pour paramétrer l'extension à sa convenance.

A very useful tool but too commercial for my tastes Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The only reason this add-on misses out on a 5 star rating is the emphasis on buying the full version in the application.
Other than that, it is a stunning piece of software, perfect for sharing sites or, more importantly, writing instructions. Whether a quick note to an aged relative to say 'Press this button' or, in my case, a booklet explaining the use of a Web 2.0 flash design application.

A cool 'snap' sound announces the screenshot was taken (takes a bit longer with flash) and then a comprehansive editing window opens up, with annotations, some really cool graphic effects and comprehensive export functions.

A must have for all firefox users.

Why not using FireShot for free?

Why not using FireShot is free, you don't have to purchase Pro version if you don't want to.

Easy to use and complete Rated 5 out of 5 stars

The peeps that developed Fireshot knew what they were doing: the product is very easy to use and setup, and it has lots of features which should make anyone needing to make a screenshot happy.

Works flawlessly - I need that add-on to save the design of web-sites almost daily.

One improvement would be desirable: It would be perfect if it was possible (optional) to include the current path into the png-file (top or bottom) so that this issue is documented as well. Unfortunately, the long file names don't work for me as I have very deep file structures.
