Patch to add follow next/prev link when page scrolling at bot/top Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Hi, I added a patch so that when use PageUp/PageDown, and if the document is at beginning/end, Firemacs will try to find a prev/next link/image, and follow that link. This way, one more mouse clicking is reduced for me:-)Thanks for the great Add-on. you can check my patch at http://github.com/baohaojun/windows-config/raw/master/gcode/Firemacs

4.0 support soon? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Firemacs is one of my essential add-ons. I love that it supports next-line/prev-line in auto-complete, form-fields, etc.

I find myself using the 4.0 betas these days. Is there a chance Firemacs will support them anytime soon? Many thanks!

What about pc-select mode? C- doesn't work though C-Shift- does, weird. And also C-_ (undo) doesn't work -- can't see any option in the configuration pop-up.
All in all, it's a bit difficult to interact with a mix of key bindings.
IMHO, the best of the two worlds would be to look at an init.el and honour basic options found there, plus scope-based enable/disable option, i.e. "textbox yes|no", "forms yes|no", "menus yes|no", "address-bar ..." etc.
Cheers, ^m'e

Hi there. Very useful tool! Anyway, the bare arrow keys don't work in the address bar, when trying to select a proposed URL completion, nor in the [context] menus, on pages with a text box. C-x-up/down work as expected, but that's a bit uncomfortable. It would be nice to have an option to preserve the standard arrow keys functionality in these contexts. The 'Esc' key suffers from the same problem...

I'm using google toolbar, it replaces Firefox search bar and the hotkey "C-x g" doesn't work for it..

Great add-on. Unfortunately, it doesn't play well with PrefBar (http://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/67148). After I've installed Firemacs, the Prefbar Buttons are gone. I've no idea which of the two extensions is to blame for this, though.

A must for emacs users Rated 5 out of 5 stars

A must add-on for emacs users, especially when cooperating with those programs which use web-browser as their frontend, such as sagemath.
I'm looking forward to the addition of "undo close tab", though I don't have any wine ;-)

You are awesome. I think you contribute to emacs auto-complete-mode too which I also use everyday besides firemacs.

I couldn't find any way to get in touch with Kazu Yamamoto so I'm posting my bug report here.

I cannot get this to work at all on my mac. There is simply no change in the keybindings. Have any other mac users had any luck?

On Fedora 10 it seemed to work fine, though, very useful for when conkeror fails.

Just started playing with this, but for those that wander how this works, go to any textarea and use CTRL-N and CTRL-P to go to previous or next line.

This already works on linux, but not on Mac or Windows.

On all platforms, however, emacs style shortcuts work in rich text editors like http://developer.yahoo.com/yui/examples/editor/flickr_editor.html
only with this extension.
The config window shows how you can customize the keystrokes, but I'm happy with the defaults. :-)

help! Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Sorry, but there is no support section and I can't find a way to contact the developer anywhere. I tried the experimental 3.7 release for Firefox 3.0.12 on Mac 10.5.7 but the install seems to fail. Any advice?

being a long-time emacs user, this is the most valuable firefox addon of all.

(NOTE - i'm having some problems with 3.6 version (^G doesn't deactivate selection, ^S activates the save dialog in linux, but not windows), so for now i'm reverting to firemacs 3.5, and it works fine. i've notifed the developer separately, mention the problem here in case others need the workaround.)
