so handy Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using Emacs for few weeks, and this addon is extremely handy for Emacs users.
No drawback for the moment :-)
Thanks !

Works under Ubuntu 16.04 Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I am new to Ubuntu, prefer Chromium.

However, could not get Emacs keybinding to work with mail, etc.

With this, no problem with Firefox. I had to delete the entry for Ctrl-v, so cut and paste worked as I expect, that was it.

Thanks!

Firemacs on/off should be global, not per window Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Two issues:

1. you cannot set firemacs enable=off to be the default initial state after firefox browser restart, or even enable="whatever state was last used".

2. when you click on the firemacs icon or use the menu to disable it, the enable=off setting is applied only to the current window and tabs, rather than ALL existing windows and tabs. I think the latter would be much preferable, or at least should be an option.

very useful with minor bugs Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Overall, this add-on is awesome for Emacs users. I didn't find a better one.
But some little bugs remind when you customize your keybindings. But we can overcome quite easily the problem with some other keybindings.
So 5/5 !
Thanks you very much Kazu Yamamoto !

Alt Unusable With Ubuntu Rated 4 out of 5 stars

First of all: THIS IS SO COOL!

However, there is a problem: There are 3 ways to use Meta, even if you don't have a meta key on the keyboard. Unfortunately, 2 of them are hard to use and alt doesn't work if you use Ubuntu because it's used by Unity's cool stuff. If AltGr was available as a meta replacement, that'd be great.

Not sure if if can replace VimFX Rated 4 out of 5 stars

The plugin is great on it's own but I was looking for a VimFX replacement and I just can't figure out if Firemacs has a 'click from keyboard' functionality (like f key in vim emulators). That is a fundamental feature for me.

This have been missing in my life for a very long time. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

This add-on works very well with few bugs.

The functions that are added by this plug-in have been missing in my life since the time I first used NSCA Mosaic back in 1993.

Emacs key-bindings are imprinted in the nerves of my fingers, as I used them more or less every day for more than 25 years.

This is the single best Firefox add-on ever made. If I had to choose between having access to all other add-ons or only firemacs I would chose firemacs and still be very happy.

Great, with one complaint Rated 4 out of 5 stars

This is a great extension, and it really feels like emacs as others have mentioned. Even C-SPC and C-x h work just like in emacs! The only downsides are:

- shift+arrow keys or keys like C-B (ctrl+shift+b), don't select text.
- no C-x C-x functionality (this is probably harder to implement so I don't really fault this extension for not having it).

Other than those and a few other very minor things, this is a great extension and I highly recommend it.

Une excellente extension pour les utilisateurs d'emacs, elle permet de gagner un temps fou !

All my life I've been instinctively typing Emacs commands into Firefox just to realize once again that FF is not Emacs.

My dream comes true :)

This plugin is stupendous. It turns the Firefox UI from crap to highly usable for me. I sincerely hope the developer keeps bringing this up to date with new Firefox releases, and I would gladly contribute financially were a way to do so provided.

Very nice! I love it...
Emacs users can easily use their emacs' "hands on keyboard" configuration on Firefox... GREAT!

This is a wonderful addon. There is a single (and very frustrating) issue that I've had with it since downloading. When I set the mark for selection, there is no way to unset or move the mark. What really attracts me to emacs's keybindings is the lack of any sort of dependency on the mouse. I love this addon, but please relieve me of dependency on the mouse for text selection.

Any doc for this? eg key bindingss? Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Not a review, but a question: is there any doc of ANY kind for firemacs? Like what keys do what. Options. Rebinding keys (I notice people (in reviews) have done that or similar. WHERE is the doc. And if none, how did YOU figure out the features? THANKS!

I don't need to write texts in emacs anymore before copypasting them into firefox.
