MUST HAVE if you are web developer; still learning or advanced!
Esencial para el trabajo de desarrollador web, es muy util!
Must have for every Web developer
Love It..and can't live without it as a web developer. it helps to troubleshoot and study the codes. perfect tools, one of the must have for web-developer
To think in the past times of the pre-firebug era it's pretty scary. Thanks for this tool!
best tools for editing code online
FireBug is the DeFacto WebDeveloper / Designer tool. an out-FOXTROT-standing ADDon. I am an Internet Taxidermist by trade, and Interactive Media Design Student. I've shared FireBug with my fellow students, web and non-web majors, and nothing but enlightenment has followed. Being able to send the bug in and view the page structure visually has unraveled the mysteries of CSS for many here. (Thanx)
Thank you guys for this add-on! It saves me a lot of time! Keep doing a great job!
Apart from the problem with downloads freezing at 99%, I discovered another problem: google ads on my site would not display, or displayed randomly. This problem appeared a day or so after I linked my google adsense and analytics accounts, but went away when I disabled Firebug (which is a must-have extension for any web developer).
So I don't know if it is purely a Firebug issue, or related to some buggy Analytics code ... there have been reports about a function failing in recent Analytics releases (Firebug complains about _gat._getTracker()).
Looking forward to the bugfix release :-)
This is very good addon, but it has a bug that freezes your downloads at 99% most of the time. Please fix.
Great debugging and testing tool
Best Web Debugging Tool. Nothing less.
Saves a lot of time!
When it comes to making lots of CSS tweaks, this is very handy.
My rating is for the idea and for the version 1.2.1. The whole stable 1.3 and 1.4alpha-versions produce more overhead and are a pain to use. I'll never understand why the developers had to mess the brilliant 1.2.1 version up. Fixing bugs would have been enough.
I agree with Swilk, wait for a bug fix update. I updated from 1.3.1 to 1.3.2 and my Windows FireFox 3.0.6 would stall after running for 60 seconds (pages would stop updating), and would have to be entirely closed and opened to get another minute of use.
Went back to 1.3.1 - wait for the next update.
DO NOT INSTALL THIS RELAEASE, wait for bugfix!
It's buggy, very often puts the message:
"Failed to load source for sourceFile top-level /url-goes-here.js/"
...in the Script Tab.
Debugging is impossible!
Install 1.3.1 instead, or wait for bugfix!
A must-have for web developers. Thank you!
Simply the best reason to use Firefox as a developer. Incredibly powerful tool. There's simply no rationale for giving this add-on any less than 5 stars. It's incredibly powerful and eminently useful.
Works fine, quick and easy to use.
Brilliant for quickly testing CSS changes on my sites.
I've upgraded from 1.3.0 to 1.3.2 and everything's fine.
Mac OS X Leopard/FF3
I upgraded from Firbug 1.2.1 to 1.3.2 and my Mac became catatonic. I rebooted and it was still catatonic. I replaced 1.3.2 by 1.2.1 and now my Mac is fine again. What gives? It acts like its its own DOS attack.
