Add on bar? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

The icon has been moved down to an 'add on bar' instead of up in the navigation bar at the top of the browser where it used to be.... why??? I don't want to have to enable an extra status bar in my browser! All my other addons (firebug, pinterest) appear up the top.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.2).

You can customize your browser UI and drag the addon icon on any bar.

great Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Works well, I like it!
It would be great, if there is a possibility to save articles, and share them (Pocket, Evernote, GMail, ...). At the moment the article disappears after clicking it.
EDIT: Thank you for the info, I found the settings!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.7.2).

Thanks

You can enable ability to save articles in the options.
Also, you can disable marking article as read after clicking on it in the options.

Реально полезное дополнение.Можно ли как то отключить всплывающее окошко справа внизу?

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.3.1).

День добрый, спасибо за отзыв!
Да можно, в настройках:
Оранжевая кнопка Firefox или инструменты -> дополнения -> Feedly notifier [настройки].
Снять галку "показывать уведомления".

The icon doesn't reflect any number of news, as if one were not logged. When the bubble appears on pressing the button, it leads to the login page, but it doesn't logon, it leads to a script error page. I can enter my feedly from the main page, and use it many times a day, but it can no longer be accessed in any manner from the Feedly Notifier button. There are other previous reviews suggesting the same issue..

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (2.3.1).

I can suggest you to try to disable using HTTPS (this option was added in 2.4.0 version).
Please contact me by mail if it doesn't help.

Since today I can't connect to feedly anymore...
When I click on the connect button, I get the Sign-in feedly cloud page, from there I go to the OAuth google page, but when I accept the authorizations, I'm redirected to a localhost page which is inexistant...
Any idea about this problem ?

Seems that french locale is broken :
"YouHaveNewFeeds": "Vous avez $count$ nouveaux articles" should be replaced by "YouHaveNewFeeds": "Vous avez %s nouveaux articles".

Thanks for you work !

Great addon. :) Rated 4 out of 5 stars

It does what it says in the description. It would be nice to have a smaller icon to put it on the add-on bar (the current one is bit too big).

Latest updates killed the notifier for me. Icon stays grayed and no longer updates/notifies.

Tried disabling/reenabling, reinstalling to no avail.

Please open issue with your configuration and step to reproduce it (I can't reproduce this bug on Windows XP/7 and Firefox 23) here https://github.com/olsh/Feedly-Notifier-Firefox/issues/new

Unread news count number getting chopped off Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Mr. Developer, first just wanted to say great add-on and keep up the great work, but wanted to make you aware of an issue I found. I like to add the feedly notifier icon to the add-on bar at the bottom of firefox. Since upgrading to v1.2.5 the unread news count number gets chopped off at the bottom. It was fine in v1.2.3. Can you please test and fix? Thx for your support.

UPDATE: I opened an issue on github. Thx.

Very nice! One suggestion... Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I'm loving this extension. One suggestion I have: would it be possible to open the list of new / unread feeds in a permanent sidepanel (like the extension "brief" does)? Or could you make the flyout-menu stay open somehow? I don't like to repeatedly open this menu again and again, but would like to browse through the various rss-news as easily as possible. Extension "Brief" was very good for this.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.1).

Fantastic! Just what was missing Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I love this simple add-on. This was exactly what was missing from the otherwise excellent replacement to Google Reader: Feedly.I had depended on the Google Reader Notifier add-on before GR shut down. Now, with the Feedly Notifier (complete with desktop notification, no less!!) I have the perfect replacement for Google Reader: Feedly and the Feedly Notifier.Thanks!!(P.S Oleg, would you consider adding an option to reset the unread counter to 0 when the toolbar icon is clicked on?)

Update:

I was probably not clear, for which I apologize. I didn't mean to set the unread count to zero in Feedly itself, but to set the unread count on your Feedly Notifier button on the toolbar to zero. That was the behavior that I was used to on the Google Reader Notifier addon: when I clicked on that button it would open Google Reader and simultaneously reset it's own counter-display to zero, on the assumption that would soon be reading (or at least marking as read) the latest batch of items. If I didn't get to every unread article in Google Reader, or chose not to mark everything as read in Google Reader by the next update cycle in the notifier, then the notifier would go back to displaying a non-zero unread count on the button.

That was a nice behavior. And, as long as I'm being greedy, a middle-click to refresh the counter between update cycles would be handy (but far from essential).

Cheers and thanks again.

Andy

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.2.1).

Thank you

Thank you for kind words. For now Feedly doesn't expose API for developers, therefore we can't (or it's too hard) implement some features.Maybe we'll implement your suggestion, but we need to think about this.

Update:
Hi Andy. You was clear, I understood you correctly. Your suggestion is good, but there is some problems:
1. What if update cycle will be run immediately after clicking on the button?
2. Popup should keep unread news after counter reset?
3. What if user have 40 unread feeds, but popup show only 20 unread news? When user clicks on the button, counter will be set to 0. Then user marks as read first 20 news, thereafter will be update cycle, and the counter will be set to 20.

I think this behavior will be not obvious for user.

If you have any questions or want to more detail discuss, please contact with me by e-mail(on the addon page).
