Great work! I liked it very much!

Feature Request Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I find this awesomely useful... but I've discovered that some feeds have styles attached to some bits of text, and these styles are usually designed with a certain-color background in mind. -- -- Feature request: -- Allow background color of feed viewer area to be set by user, and stored as metadata associated with individual feeds.

problem with Google Reader Notifier Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I think it's a good extension, but Google R. Notifier can't show the unread item's number with Feed Sidebar active.

I'd of given it a 5 if it had the option to choose which folder you wanted to use. Other then that, it's pretty good.

Great! Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I love this extension, it lets me know speedly if the blogs i usually view are upated.
Actually, like others, I noticed the disk works too much when refreshing feeds, so FF sometimes "freezes" (expecially when either windows exploer, emule and firefox are reading/writing from disk).
Instead of the button "Reload feeds every..." I would like to see a menu: "reload THIS feed every..." so it won't realod ALL the feeds at the same time, and the disk won't be stressed.
Great extension, anyway :)

Makes Browsing Through Bookmarks a Breeze Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I always liked the notion of RSS feeds but this is the first tool that I have used that has unlocked the functionality of RSS feeds for me. Check out the video demonstration at www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9MAfbq6pc8

My favorite RSS reader, works great with All-In-One sidebar. One feature lacking is ability to open link in new tab. Please fix that. Thx.

Fills a big hole in Firefox's usefulness Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I've tried a few rss solutions for FF, but nothing has worked so well as Feed Sidebar. The preview pane is especially nice, allowing me to watch video from one page while browsing the text on another. Operation is very smooth, with no obvious huffing or puffing - it just works. Haven't noticed the excessive disc activity reported by others, but then (a) I have a fast machine and (b) rarely more than 40 feed-items, per update. The few, minor gripes I could muster relate to context menu-operation, as noted on Chris' blog. Nothing critical and I'm sure they are easily overcome. Good job!

This is a great extension and the first piece of software I've found that actually makes feeds useful and easy to use. It could use a few improvements, most of which have already been mentioned in previous reviews. I won't rehash them. If it weren't for Feed Sidebar, I wouldn't be using Feeds or Live Bookmarks at all.

does work well with custom skins (at least, not with mine). i love the functionality of it, but the stop and refresh buttons are all messed up.

It is great, I like that it is simple, but it can do everything I need. It is anoying that there are "Mark Feed as Read" and "Mark All as Read" options, but the same "unread" options do not exist (eg. "Mark All as Unread"), so choosing one of these options is almost a one way ticket (you have to mark the news as unread one by one).

It is quick and convenient but, lacking on the ability to organize feeds.
It makes FF stop responding when its handling large numbers of feeds.
Therefore, if you are only looking at a few feeds, its fantastic. If you have a lot (I have 192), you might want consider something more robust.
Thank you for all your hard work!

I like this one. It fits with All-in-One sidebar. but there's more to go - I'd like to see categories (i.e. PC, Entertainment, News).

simple, and works great. Rated 5 out of 5 stars

the extension made me actually use rss.
i have tried other feed readers (wizz, sage), but i found them confusing and have been planning to learn about their interface, but i just never found the time. this one, however, is extremely simple and pretty obvious on how it works. i agree with the other guy that it could probably use a bit more configurability - a hotkey to force reload without showing sidebar comes into mind, for example, or a statusbar icon with the functionality.
i would also like to see an extension with the functionality of this and update scanner, but this one does its job fine, and it "just works", so i'm giving it a 5/5.
also, good job making sure the extension works with latest betas/rcs, i hate how my AioS stopped working now that i'm on rc..

Nice, but Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Nice and it opened quickly. However, I like the way Sage lists all the articles of a selected feed in a tab in the main window. It gives more of an area to scan the article headlines and further narrow down my selections. So, while some people like the fact that the feed remains in a side bar, I would rather have the ability to open a particular feed in a main window, under a tab. Other than that, it seems very useful, but cramped in the sidebar.

Good but could be better Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Best feed reader I've tried so far. Although, there are some features that I'd like to see.

-The option to move the feed sidebar to the right side.
-Icon flashing and sound notification when a new update is found.
-The option for continuous updating even though you aren't showing the sidebar.

Thanks for a great addon.

Lacks one key feature Rated 4 out of 5 stars

I like this add-on's interface very much...even better than sage, but like the previous former-sage-user who reviewed this, there's one make-or-break feature that would make all the difference:

"1. When i reload the feeds and new articles are available in a feed, can you either boldface the feed name or add a symbol to the folder to signify new articles are available?"

Add this and i'm sold.

Very good, it was just what I was looking for: a simple and fast feed reader.

Good but I have 2 feature requests Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Good 2-pane lightweight reader that does what it's supposed to. Summaries seems to be preloaded so there's no lag, unlike, say, Brief.

I really hope you'd consider these two features, which will bring this extension close to perfection:

1. Keep the original Firefox bookmark folder hierarchy in the display pane, instead of pulling out all the Live Bookmark folders into a flat list. Many users (like me) spend much time organizing and categorizing their bookmark folders for a reason - so that they know where everything is and can zoom in on what we want quickly.

2. Don't open all the news feed folders by default. Heavy news feed users will have hundreds of items and the list becomes so long it's hard to navigate to the feed you want.

Good job but I hope it keeps getting better! Thanks.
