Selective deleting algorithm Rated 4 out of 5 stars
At the moment I keep all my backups, but obviously that is not wise long-term. I am reluctant to go for the option that deletes the oldest backups. Sometimes a problem can occur way in the past and only recently become a major issue (for example a localised cororuption that a later update turns into a widespread problem). Therefore it is nice to keep older backups. I was wondering whether an algorithm could be devised that keeps the most recent backups, and also the oldest, but selectively deletes so that the further back in time, the less backups are stored. And then choosing the number of directories to store in total, as there already is the option for. Great extension overall. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (18.104.22.168-signed).
