You go to a fic on FFN, right-click and tell it to download something, then (on a mac anyway) you'll get a popup with "it's done!". At that point you right-click again and say "go to download list" to go to their site, and there you can choose how you want to download the story - as an .epub, for example - and you get the entire story, all the chapters, in one nice file!
Wonderful saves so much time, I used to do the copy and paste method this add on changed that. Downloads all chapters at once very quick!
I wanted to like it, but I couldn't get it to work. I'm using FF 26, and downloaded this plugin today. Restarting FF didn't work, and installing the current (also downloaded today) Windows-based program (which is itself a plugin to or modified version of Calibre) didn't make the plugin work (on the theory that the FF plugin is meant to work with the Windows installation). I even tried rebooting the PC. Don't know if it won't play nice with my (many) other plugins or what. Would be nice to be able to have a toolbar button instead of having to copy/paste URLs in the Windows-based version.
This is the worst addon that I've come across.
As a blind user, I completely rely on speech synthesis to tell me what's going on my computer.
I can't figure out how to use this.
Your windows version is also completely unusable.
I would give this 0 stars if that was possible!
Everything you need is in the right-click menu. Just go to the page you want, choose the format you want it downloaded in, choose all the stories you want (and yes, it downloads the whole thing, not just the chapter you're in) and then go to the download page (also found in the right-click menu) and download your stories. In epub format it divides the stories into chapters, even. This is the easiest way I've found to read long fanfiction stories anywhere. Highly recommended; it took about three seconds to figure out how to use it.
No context menu on right-click and no instructions on how this works.
Installed and removed.
0 stars, if that was possible.
I was actually searching for more stars to give.. This is just too good.. Thanks a lot Raimond.. :)
1. Extremely Easy to use
2. Extremely useful ( esp to me.. ;) )
3. I am pretty loyal.. I do use your Win based program, never had any issues.. Well, except when FF.net changed its structure... But all in all, i loved this as much (if not more) as the Windows based program!! :D
