This is one awesome addon. However, I've noticed that facebook changed something on their end, and are now starting to rename albums by "username - albumname" (rather than just albumname) and it causes the script to hang. :( It isnt on all accounts yet, but i've seen it crop up. Current workaround is to go into each album and then run the script.

Doesn't do anything, no new menu item is added. A waste of time.

very simple easy to use and very fast Thank you!!!!!!

Works great, naming could be improved Rated 4 out of 5 stars

Facepaste currently names pictures sequentially or using their Facebook ID. It would be nice if it could take the name of the file from the description, using characters until an optional mark specified in the configuration (the first dot, or the first [CR]), and a given limit (like, up to 50 characters), it would also have to skip invalid characters for file names ( \ / : * ? "< > | ).

works wonderfully Rated 5 out of 5 stars

On 27.0.1... Works perfectly, albeit, didn't check all combinations of settings. But it did download videos and some 200 albums a page of a business has, while skipping the two general pages, it worked flawlessly and fast. In case not all files have been downloaded, a 2nd pass can be made to update and merge the content, this means existing content gets skipped, so connection problems facebook has can be worked around.

Since this is an occasional use extension, and some people noticed issues, while I didn't, I can only recommend to run it in a separate profile (look up how firefox profiles work), clean, without any other extensions installed in it (keeping all other extensions in main profile), logged in FB and it will work, guaranteed.

Not Working with Firefox updat Rated 5 out of 5 stars

I LOVED this add-on. I have a page and being able to access my older pics without waiting hours and hours as I scroll down and FB takes it's time to load was GREAT! Now, with the new Firefox update last month, I can no longer use this add-on. I hope that the people that made this add on can make and updated version.
I don't understand why Firefox allows add-ons just so that they can't be used later??!!??

Now I got a reason not to update Firefox to latest version because I was ultimately surprised by this add-on. It is small, simple yet powerful. All I need to do is sit back and wait for the download to complete in background. Hope the next version will support an option to sort album by name (or number of pictures in it); also parallel download and saving photo caption.

Perfect! I love this add-on. It gets the job done just fine :)

This is perfect, I tried to download a few albums with JDownloader but it was the worst thing ever.. every image was totally in disorder. This addon is amazing but I've noticed a small bug: the images are always saved as JPG even though the albums has PNG images so I had to write a quick script to rename them.

EDIT: changed from 4 to 3 stars because it doesn't support groups.

Delan, I have to say, this add-on is the best facebook album downloader out there, or at least, that's what I think. So far I haven't encountered any bugs or issues, it is simple to use and tracking the process is also useful. I'm giving 5 stars, but I'd like you to know that there is one thing that would make this add-on perfect IMO - the ability to save photo captions (as photo names, for instance). Now, I don't know script-wise how difficult this is, but the option to save the captions of photos from albums would be great. I'm thinking, some captions might be very long or contain symbols that can't be names of photo files, if that is the case, then there should be an option to save captions as text files. Here's how it might work: When I download the album, it contains photos which are numbered according to how they are laid out originally on facebook and it also contains (for example) a "captions.txt" document with the numbers (indicating pictures in the specific album), and captions written according to the numbers. This way, if a photo does not have any captions, it will be visible in the .txt file since it won't have any written text next to its number. Also, this document might contain the album description, if available. I might be talking total mumbo-jumbo right now, but I have no clue or experience in developing add-ons. Please let me know if what I'm suggesting is possible (or anything similar). I created this account just to write this review :D Thanks for the add-on!

This is the best tool to download Facebook Albums. Since Facebook changes its layout and link structure frequently, this add-on must be updated constantly! (Please release the v3.0 ASAP!)

Here is a quick fix if you don't see the "download_Facebook Albums" option:

The link structure for this add-on to recognize, should be:

- For "Photos Of" a user:
facebook.com/user-name/photos

- For "Photos By" a user:
facebook.com/user-name/photos_stream

Facebook may not use these link structure by default, but if you fix the link (Manually! -type it to your adress bar-), then the same page will open WITH the right click option "download_Facebook Albums"

I hope it helps! :)
