Extero is a reasonably good theme. I like its unique qualities, but a few parts aren't so nice. The tab bar, though one-of-a-kind, looks strange to me (maybe you could make a Stylish user style to make the tab bar more conventional?). Also, I like your "black-menu" idea, but I think that the menus should be a blacked-out/grayed-out version of iPox's excellent menus. In addition, I think that your buttons are great, but please add more shine! The icons are excellent, and the theme is compatible with every one of my 60 extensions! I understand that this theme is a WIP and thus I have given it an 8.
This theme is no longer supported.I got permission to update it and I made another version of Extero. You can see it here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/13012 .There are a lot style changes but it is still looking good. Again thanks for letting me take over iAqua and Extero :)
I haven't used your themes yet but it looks really nice. I've been trying to find a calm and bright theme to use but all the ones I have found are for ff 2.0 :(. So PLEASE update your theme I would really like to use it XD.
I'm very grateful for your work, thank you. I'm sure I'm not alone in looking forward to this update for Firefox3. Any chance for the re-release? Also perhaps go with something other than black for the context menu? Pretty please!? Thanks again for your hard work.
Your skin designs are very good. 2 suggestions: The menus should be white, not black. Also, the black buttons should be white also, with grey text. Otherwise, it's nearly perfect!! (nothing is perfect)
Looks nice in the default kubuntu kde4 environment, though I would suggest higher contrast in the top right loading indicator, the greenish/grayish dot is kinda hard to see in contrast with the black dots.
This theme looks really cool, but I've got a few suggestions that would make it cooler. First off, the menus need some work. The black menu background and bright blue selection doesn't fit well. Also, I think the styles for the active and inactive tabs should be switched. Since the gray bar that matches the inactive tab color extends over the current page, it is confusing. The inactive tab should blend in with the background, and the active one should stand out. And one last thing... the Home button doesn't really fit with the design, I think some sort of shiny house would be better. These are just suggestions. Other than that, it's a great theme. Thanks! -Jason
This theme has so much potential! You just need to fix a few things. 1) add more shine and POP to the buttons. 2)Fix the inactive tabs. Just make the text black, or lighten the text a bit so it stands out. I think lightening the text of the inactive tabs a few shades (to match the theme bg) would match well and still provide that little bit of "weirdness" that makes your theme great. 3) DON'T MAKE THE ICONS SO DANG BIG! I have to use small icons all the time and it still uses too much space; make the large icons the size of the current small icons and the new small ones about .75x the size of those. 4)DO NOT "fix" the menus or scrollbars, etc. This is why the theme is unique. You take chances and add some unexpected frills that really show some BAM! to firefox users. There's always something new you haven't seen before or haven't really taken notice of.
Overall, great start. Just keep the updates a-flowin. That's what keeps a theme alive.
**NOTE** I used this theme before but I didn't like it because of a few problems it had (that I forgot about) but now I checked it out and it's great enough for me to use, but the problems I specified in this review are still there, so please just fix those and a perfect 10 (or 11.5) awaits you.
This theme has the potential of becoming one of the top rated themes on this site, provided that continuous improvements are made to it. I have a few suggestions/issues based on my personal experiences with this theme: 1. Text on inactive tabs is practically unreadable (on both windows + linux). 2. Doesn't look very good on linux (flat toolbars). 3. It would be great if you could work a little more on the menu background.
