The last update was "Released June 16, 2008"; also, the "Home Page' & 'Support site' are 404 (not found). Offhand, I'd say it's been abandoned. It's a shame, I used to really enjoy using this add-on for years.
Este addon con Firefox 7 se convirtió en un verdadero problema.
This add-on is useful however I find that when I've already blocked some third-party sites it doesn't list them when a site calls for the. Many sites have seemed to "just not work" and it turned out I had blocked a domain, however Cookie Manager wasn't showing it in the list to unblock it.
Overall though it's nice to quickly block and unblock sites rather than trekking through the Tools menu.
Guys, use "Cookie Whitelist, With Buttons"
It's great and compatible with TabMixPlus as well.
is there any alternative for this addon, as this isn't working for firefox 4? The development seems to be dead as the cangelogs suggest.
Very useful addon to manage all the cookies from web. And very easy to use!
I wanted to like this, and am pretty liberal with extensions not completely working - but crashing and having me going into Safe Mode to disable it is not cool. If it's really not ready for prime time, don't release it.
This is a good addon.
However does not work properly with portable firefox, while other addons work.
If you move the folder of the portable firefox, this addon DOES NOT WORK. It must designed or improved to not use absolute paths
The only Cookie manager I have ever used with Firefox.
Easy to use, and all I need. Good work!
I'm yet another that have been bugged by these script freezes.
XCM is claimed to be compatible with firefox 3.0b1 – 3.6.* but it is not!
And checking for plugin compatibility when upgrading firefox shows XCM to be compatible.
Have been using this addon previously with great success, but will never again use it.
I have spent to much time figuring out what caused the freezes, and also two chrashes, of firefox. It causes the browser to freeze, and also puts the PC to a sluggish halt at regular intervals.
This has cost me both time and money!
I certainly cannot recommend this addon.
Yes it is simple but causes conflicts on mozilla.
Hello. I need this extension for the "upgrades the cookie exception dialog with a search function " function. I use a couple other Cookie management Add-ons for my other needs. Cheers
Installed this and FF ran at 100% on a single core with a single tab open. Disabled it and all was fine. Not Recommended
I had to disable this because it slows down the browsers and causes unresponsive script errors on startup. Using FF 3.6 / Win. I don't recommed using this for anyone.
I think I'm using Tab mix plus so this was another add on which won't work with my Firefox. At least there was forewarning of the potential problem. I'd ask the developer to please work with the TMP people to get a fix.
I installed this January 15, 2010. I then restarted and Firefox would start but never bring up any page, display my add-ons nor respond to any clicks. I tried several times, cleaned my registry and I reinstalled Firefox. Still nothing. I eventually tracked down the folder for this extension and manually moved it temporarily and started Firefox and it finally ran and brought this page back up for me to tell you what happened. (it was an open tab when i restarted).
Makes Firefox use CPU at 100% of a single core for several minutes. This seems to happen especially when using GMail, GMap or Google Reader. The UI and functionality is otherwise OK.
This causes Gmail to crash Firefox 3.5. It crashed with Adblock Plus, Adblock Plus Filter Updater, Adblock Plus Element Hiding Helper, ChatZilla, Download Statusbar, and DownThemAll! enabled.
Been using it for ages and now updated to FFx 3.5.2 from 3.0.13.
Always worked and still works fine for me.
Really wondering what is causing the Problem for so many others...
Upgrading to FF 3.5 meant that the existing cookie manager extension I was using didn't work any more, so I installed this one. Firefox hung at 100%CPU for 10 minutes before I killed it, restarted in safe mode and removed this extension.
Good idea poorly executed.
When installed this maxes out the FF application. It should be avoided at all costs until development has fixed.
Whoa!!! Super bad add! Slows FF to a crawl... causes FF to stop responding and startup is very slow.
Like the concept, but there must be a serious conflict other extensions or something like that.
This add-on slows the loading of firefox to many minutes so as to make my computer unusable for long periods of time. Then clicking a web link in an email takes many minutes to load the page in ff. The author needs to look into what so people many are complaining about and mozilla needs to remove this add-on from the list of available add-ons until it is fixed.
Firefox 3.5 crashed immediately after installing this add-on and was unusable even after restarts.
Freezes my PC (vista) ....
