After living without ErrorZilla Mod thru beta versions of Fx 4, I am happy to say it's back, and working with Fx 4.0.

Firefox 4 support soon? Rated 1 out of 5 stars

It worked great on 3.6 and before.

Firefox 4.0 Support Added

I'm awaiting the review of the Mozilla staff. They normally take quite a long time right after a major release, but that's understandable (think of all the addons being updated!). In the mean time, you can get an updated version here (use the latest -- 0.41 at the time of this reply): https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/errorzilla-mod/versions/

Doesn't work Rated 3 out of 5 stars

Now that this actually installs in Minefield, I find that it does not work. Visiting an invalid URL produces:

--------------------------------
XML Parsing Error: undefined entity
Location: jar:file:///C:/Users/User1/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/nugjhkmg.test/extensions/ErrorZillaMod@jaybaldwin.xpi!/chrome/content/netError.xhtml
Line Number 301, Column 33: <div id="ed_netOffline">&netOffline.longDesc;</div>
--------------------------------^

That's from a clean profile with only ErrorZilla Mod installed.

It wont even download Rated 1 out of 5 stars

I have been trying for days to install this but every time I get

"Firefox could not install the file at

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/downloads/latest/3336/addon-3336-latest.xpi

because: Invalid file hash (possible download corruption)

This still won't install...it says the add-on file is unreadable. Even after saving the xpi to my desktop it still wouldn't install. Using latest Minefield 4b7pre.

Very well done. It's a simple add-on that sits in my firefox, and makes errors a pleasure to experiment with!

Thank You for Your ErrorZilla Mod Contribution Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you for developing the original version of ErrorZilla. Although I actually installed the "Plus" version, you did 7/8 of the work and well deserve the majority of the credit. I used the tools you developed in ErrorZilla.

Having too many extensions installed, I have been trying to pick and choose the keepers. I wasn't sure if I would want or even "need" a custom error page like ErrorZilla (or plus). The answer came clearly earlier today when my inhouse DNS server blocked yet another site that was not-really-that-bad (Some Lists feel that tracking afilliate actions is evil). Just 2 quick clicks (Google Cache and Coralize) and I had confirmed data in their article, then I was done. I can whitelist the site later when time isn't as pressing. The 'crime' wasn't malware, it was teaching people how to legally do e-mailing lists. Your portion of ErrorZilla saved me considerable time. I lack knowledge regarding this Coralize, but I can traversing Google Cache with an assurance of safety. Thank you.

This extension works perfectly!
You (developer) should submit your extension to BabelZilla (www.babelzilla.org). That's a place where your extension will be translated to many languages for free!

Nice extension :)

Please make the Firefox logo background transparent, I'm using the AnyColor theme and the logo is on a square white background in a black page! Could it be also make to fit the error box?

The latest version seems to work fine with https certificate issues (it leaves the error page to Firefox)

This is such a useful idea, it makes you wonder why this isn't part of FF as standard.

Good idea, but as Tolero wrote, this does not allow you to access https pages with certificate issues any more.
