Does not integrate in the current Firefox design at all. You need to bring back the old status bar on the bottom.

Doesn't appear to properly support "Use Configuration URL". If you use FF settings to select automatic configuration by URL, then EPS shows "Use Configuration URL" in the status bar, and hovering over it shows the current URL. However clicking on it rotates through the other options (manual, direct etc), but not back to UCU.
Further, in the EPS preferences, UCU is not an available option, it doesn't even show.
Hence the Add-On is useless in it's current version, as the primary feature doesn't work - can't switch from UCU to Direct and back again.

FF29 on Ubuntu.

Add on works as advertised. Lately it has been must have plugin for me. And yes I do recommend it to others. And guys for complete anonymity I recommend to use any no log vpn or for free and portable solution, you can use web proxy. Proxy servers can hide your identity. Google them to find more. Personally I use prowebproxy.com http://prowebproxy.com/

The most elegant and status bar friendliest proxy switcher available for Firefox Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Thank you for the Elite Proxy Switcher!

The very name, might fool most of the people thinking that this is visually complicated and not status bar friendly proxy switcher.

When in fact, as I write this lines (26.06.2014) this it the most elegant and status bar friendliest proxy switcher available for Firefox. I know, because I’ve tried more then 30 of them today, looking for the simplicity that I have on my JonDoFox proxy switcher. This is the closest you will find for regular Firefox. Make sure to download "The Addon Bar (Restored)" extension, otherwise you will not be able to see your Elite Switcher.

Don’t change anything - it works!

Just maintain with new version of FF, that is all what is needed.

Still works with FF 29, but you need to visit add-on page to configure it... @ewwink please do not blame plugin developers for bad decisions of mozilla, they try more and more to be a chrome clone and it sucks really hard, one more step into the chrome direction and they will finally use me as user.

Add-on Bar

In Firefox 29 and later, you need this add-on to get your add-on bar back: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/the-addon-bar/

Fantastic add-on ! Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Fantastic add-on, it does exactly what it says !
Install it and a small button appears in the module bar at the bottom of Firefox enabling you to enable or disable the proxy with a single click. You cannot not more simple than that. Thanks to the makers of this add on !

works for me

"Elite" Proxy Switcher is a too big name for this addon, but it does exactly what I want:
Enable and Disable a Proxy. Enable for work and Disable at home with only (one) On-Click.
It works out of the box with preconfigured IP and Port I set up months ago in the Firefox-network/connection-settings.
It took me much less time/mind/stress than with FoxyProxy.

Thank you.

Sucks Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Can't find proxy list automaticaly. Have only one variant of proxy. Can't switch between them. But it not the worst. It work more or less. But if you write some unworkable proxy, switch to direct connection in right-down corner and remove this extantion - BAM! You loose your FireFox. After restart it try use those unworkable proxy. Sucks extension, how it can have "Elite" in name and be in top?

this is nice and easy if your wanting to switch between the Same 1 manual proxy and direct (no proxy). But if your using the cool Firefox Proxy Setting - Automatic Configuration URL then it does not work. Or if you want to use 2 manual proxy - it does not work - unfortunately. ----i really hope the add-on gets updated to support ALL of Firefox proxy options.

Easy to setup, easy to use. Thanks!

This replaced Qucikproxy for me. The quick access to the proxy settings is very nice :-

Typical use for me requires Auto-detecting proxy settings by default, then switching back and forth between Manual proxy configuration and Auto-detecting proxy settings.

Looks like it's not possible to revert back to Auto-detect settings...only options available for switching are no proxy, use system proxy settings or manual configuration.

Hello Fuballer,

You can use system proxy settings in Firefox and use Auto-detecting proxy settings in IE then Firefox will use Auto-detecting proxy settings.
