Does the job! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Was looking for a way to stop the "make google your homepage" popup every time I did a google search. Short of not using google, the only fix I could find (and only via bing .. google evidently censored it) was to install 1st ABP and then Element Helper, then:
1. Go to the google website.
2. Go to 'Select element to hide' from the ABP menu (Ctrl+Shift+F3 [Windows]), then hover your mouse over the whole offensive google popup, so that it's surrounded by a red outline, and click (L mouse).
3. In the 'Compose element hiding rule' window, click the 'Add element hiding rule' button.
Worked a charm! Clicking 'no' on the google popup for most users does not work. It just keeps coming back.

2 minutes to get used to the interface, than you can pinpoint exactly the element you want to hide with this. What I didn't understand at first was that after you select the element with ctrl+shift+f3 than you can navigate the tree in the popup and check/uncheck the properties of parent elements to make the filter more selettive in the css-like manner. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.5).

Great Extension for ABP Rated 5 out of 5 stars
While this is a great and I dare say necessary extension for ABP (extension inception?), I have a question. Why is this not built directly into ABP like the Chrome version? This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.5).
Does what it claims Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This add-on does just what it claims. It makes it considerably easier to block ads that aren't on ABP's list yet. (It also works fine with the more aggressive AdBlock Edge.)
I am a bit concerned about the claims that it sends data to its website without users being aware of that. I don't know if that's true or not, but I think the developer should at least respond to one of the reviews wondering about that. (Maybe the dev doesn't speak English...?)
Adblock is almost useless without it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
It's such a great supplement to Adblock Plus, and I would highly recommend avoiding using Adblock Plus without this! Besides the nice "click+remove" of any ads, you can also remove other annoyances! I used this to completely block out youtube comments & it's made life so much happier for me. It helps when pesky ads get through the filters, or are aggressive as hell. Thanks so much for this awesomeness.<3This review is for a previous version of the add-on (1.3.4).

This is the dream adblock addon.
I didn't mean to kill all ads but some information are really annoying (such as Baidu.com)
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Please don't get me wrong. I understand that ads are important to keep Internet services free, but some are just annoying (I just get tired with so much pollution!), give me a break! I have used ABP for some time and this is the best add-on. Thank you!

I Cannot Belive I Have Only Just Found This! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I have given this 5 stars two minutes after installing it for the simple fact that it has enabled me to block all those annoying 'eBbay Suggestion' and other elements that have been cluttering up eBay for years.
Finally, eBay as I want to view it.
When are these companies going to realise that I only want to buy what I want to buy and that they don't actually know what I want?
Only disappointment is that despite that fact that I have used ABP for years, I didn't find this add-on sooner.
Anyway, thanks for a great ABP add-on.

Easy, but efficient - great addon! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I am really impressed by what this addon is able to do and how easy it is to use! You really can "fine tune" a page using this extension and it cleans things up so very nicely. I would recommend this to any users with any amount of experience. This review is for a previous version of the add-on (126.96.36.199-signed).

FF 37.0.1: Amazingly good stuff! Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Flying ads are the answer to ad blockers, but they are annoying too. This one is the answer to the answer :-)
Just play with it at the add-on function
Adblock Plus >> Select an element to hide
and you'll get a silent screen again. *ROFL*
I wish I had known about this way earlier Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is the best addon EVER (along with ones like NoSquint and that can change Firefox's system font)!!! I didn't know I needed it so badly, or that it could help me make the internet so extremely clean and 90's! In combination with the "Remove It Permanently" add-on, I can block anything I want extremely easily, which often ends up being anything that is ugly, annoying, or that clutters up a webpage.
Because I usually have the font size of a webpage enlarged, sometimes this really messes up the site's layout (because no one thinks about half-blind people and their layouts aren't at all expecting a font size bigger than 10px...) and then I can usually remove an image or something that's getting in the way of, say, the search bar.
Mostly I use this on sites that I'm visiting more than once. Good examples being online dictionaries (I blocked the tons of crap on Jisho.org where it says stuff like "This kanji is 22435 in book x"), Memrise (blocked a whooole bunch of text and images, including the header image), Tradera.se (blocked stuff like "my bookmarks" that obstructed the search bar), Tumblr (blocked stuff like "my follower count" and "suggested blogs to follow" along with the ad on the sidebar) and there's just various other sites I visit at least semi-frequently where I blocked things like chatboxes, Twitter feeds, Facebook/Twitter "like" buttons and so on. I think it's very important to note that you can also block specific small pieces of text, for example a single paragraph.
I'm not sure how much faster it makes pages to load, but it's not like I'm blocking all the images on a page either. I also have other addons installed that do stuff like block Google's tracking and hide all comments, which might help the speed... So for me it's not about loading stuff faster, it's just about making me way less irritated when I go online.
