Pardon me for this shameless self publicity, but since I came here looking for an elementary theme for Linux and didn't find one for the latest versions of Firefox, I decided to make my own, here: https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/elementary-firefox/
I hope it suits other elementary users.
(not for Windows yet, but I'll get there!)
Great theme! Fits perfect in my desktop.
Excellent skin. Not something superfluous.
Please add icons for the Addon "Hide Caption Titlebar Plus" so it looks like the Metacity/GTK theme.
This screenshot shows how it look like at the moment: http://www.imagebanana.com/img/e1mwr0w/screenshot1.png
P.S.: I'm also using "Tabs on top" and "Compact Menu 2" to make it look more Chrome-like
Simply awesome theme! Goes so well with Nautilus Elementary theme in Ubuntu! :D
I have one problem though.
You see, when this theme is used with the Hide Menubar extension (menubar is hidden, pressing alt shows it temporarily) there is 1px white line going across the whole browser. Here's an image of what I'm talking about: http://i39.tinypic.com/o9pis2.png - it would be more than awesome to get rid of the white line.
Thank you very much for the theme!
Bug: The bookmarks icon (star) disappears when active. Firefox 3.6.3 x86 on Windows 7 x64
great work.. but.. star of favorites on the AIOS not watched
A few suggestions: 1) Slightly reduce the width between toolbar icons when they are set to small. They are a little too far apart. 2) Thicken the close 'X' on tabs. It's a little too subtle.
Bug: The bookmarks icon (star) disappears when active.
(Using this theme on current Ffox on Windows XP.)
Excellent work! One of the few themes that 'gets it' and just adds icons without tons of chrome and horrible textures.
Make the tabs width smaller please.
why change tab close buttons in 2.3.2? the previous version was just perfect :(
Finally for Firefox 3.5.*! :)
Many thanks, xeeew!
Clean, simple and beautiful! My very favorite! Now, if only it was compatible with Firefox 3.5... Please?
no se ve el boton nueva pestaña ¬¬
LOVE this theme, but disappointed it is not supported in Firefox 3.5+. Please revise this theme, as it is the most elegant theme I have seen for Firefox!
I love this theme, but I would love it even more if I can use it on FF 3.5 ;)
@Myimee: I tried this trick, but it don't work on my PC...
I decompressed the jar-file with 7-Zip, edited the two rdf-files, compressed the folder again as 7zp- and zip-file and renamed it to *.jar. When I try to install it I get the errors 204 or 207.
Would you explain it again or send me your modified files to my eMail?
download the .jar file from its homepage, the drag out install.rdf and install.rdf~,use any text editor to open them and find ,change the 3.0.* with 3.5.*,save,then put back these files into the .jar.Install and Enjoy!
isn`t it very simple? you can do this with other add-ons or themes if it really works.
we are looking for updates for FX 3.5 !
+++ We are waiting for an update to Firefox 3.5 +++
Great theme, can't wait to see the next revision you guys are working on.
FYI, for those who are using FF3.5 beta/RC, and soon to be full releases, the nightly tester tools add-on allows you to override compatibility for this and it seems to work fine with no visual issues that I can see. So if you really want to use this theme with 3.5, that's one way to go about it until an official update comes around.
Very simple, copact and funny.
i love the buttons. it was my default theme before i switched to ff 3.5 b4
..so.. when are you guys going to make it available for ff 3.5 b4?
I enjoy the theme but I prefer the bright colors of the original.
The new 2.0 update is drastic enough to have it separate from the previous version. And they should be separated.
I fourth the idea to leave 1 and 2 as separate themes, or at least have some kind of option menu to select which elements we would like of each. I feel like the change is drastic enough that it is basically a different incarnation of elementary, rather than just "version 2.0"
