  • Very useful, but sadly that not compatible with Firefox 57+ Quantum engine. Any changes that this features can be ported to Quantum?
  • Always use this when I uninstall an extension rather than leave debris behind. BTW, I have one preference named gub which has one value - anybody know what that Is ?
  • thank you very much flasresizerdeveloper!!!
  • does exactly what it says. no-more - no less. great extension
  • good.
  • Suuuper Addon! Konnte damit viel Müll entsorgen und Firefox lädt nun schneller.
    Feine Sache!
  • Fantastic. I've been needing an extension like this for years. My profile is so messy from the 100+ extensions I've used over the years, but my setup is so specific, recreating the profile would be like reinstalling Windows. This will help me much in the interim.
  • The bug was that some intermittent URL requests were timing out, and I could find no information on it through multiple search attempts.

At first this extension appeared difficult to use, then a better way to use it occurred. I performed the following steps.

    1) Deleted all inactive extensions.
    2) Moved all active extensions to inactive.
    3) Cleaned all entries.
    4) Reactivated all inactive extensions.

This method resulted in the loss of extensions I did not have currently active, and some extension setup information was lost for certain ones I inactivated and later reactivated, but for me this method worked fine.
  • i have try this extension , it is catastrophic
a lot of my active extensions heve seen their settings erased
so all extensions options are defaulted !!!!!!
  • Why aren't they named the same as the extension or at least be sublisted under the title of the extension? How do you know what is what?
  • es muy util, pero falta que señale en rojo que extensiones tenemos deshabilitadas o borradas, haria el trabajo mucho mas facil
  • The new addon contains this extension, it's "Preferences Monitor". SEARCH.
  • Not much good if it shows ALL Add-ons and not just the uninstalled ones. What happens when you clean an installed Add-on?
  • I just wish it could show me a list of those add-ons that have been uninstalled. The list contains add-ons that are installed as well which isn't cool.
  • fine add-on, easy to use and understand, does the job it says it does...

    thank you!
  • good, my browser is now fast again. many thanks!

but be careful - do not delete standard values which you'll find on the list as well.
  • é uma bom extra , mas se o utilizador não tiver cuidado pode apagar o que não devia ,ter muito cuidado ao usar
  • then use this extension before you have properly read the description.

It lists ALL extensions options, not just deprecated ones. So it's very easy to inadvertently delete everything...
  • Ce module peut être utilisé pour effacer toutes les préférences laissés par les extensions après la désinstallation
  • An interesting cleaner that takes care of other extensions!
  • Yes! Please keep updated!
  • The user needs more control. Like a registry cleaner (never use them if you like your machine), it removes things by pattern. If it doesn't understand, it deletes. It has too much potential for damage. The prefs.js file should be backed up before use and that backup ability added to this extension. Only hackers should attempt to use this in its present form.
  • Well, it's damage. This addon doesn't work with several addons (e.g RequestPolicy etc). Some many values stay instead to be deleted. Also, this addon is very poor. There's only a few features. For example, you can't see which values in about:config will be removed by this addon...It's can be dangerous, if you don't take care.
At least, I find a solution which consist to edit the pref.js file in the Firefox profil. This addon doesn't allow to do that too...
Also, I advice you to correct/change the name of the .xpi file. In the profil, it's not easy to determinate which file is the eCleaner addon. Instead of eCleaner.xpi it's something like that :"{c72c0c73-4eb0-4fb3-af0f-074e97326cfd}.xpi". It's very practical...Some developers take care about that and some many users enjoy this.
  • what is missing is that it generates a list of add-ons installed and an option to "clean everything uninstall add-ons" would be perfect
  • I was surprised that there was so much left from old add-ons. I thought add-ons didn't suffer from this problem when being uninstalled. The only thing I still miss is automatic detection of uninstalled add-ons like CCleaner with programs does.
